First, some deep music:

Now onto the blog...

Why are we on this site? Why was really it made, and why is it bursting with creative energy? These questions are hard to answer, and I will make no attempt to completely answer them. But we can think about what the answer could be. This blog will be split up into different sections, all surrounding this blog's main theme: Do we (as a community) enjoy making content?

1-Why are you and I here?- This is a hard question, for most of the time people would answer it with a story, but the context can be different; why are you here reading this blog on your screen? Did the title interest you, or were you simply bored and decided to see if this blog was about teen skins? Well, It all seems to be centered around how much we want to see from each other as a fan community. Go no to this site, and you will see thousands of submissions and over a million members all helping this site stay floating above the other MC fan sites, and all this should interest you. If you are interested enough, you will maybe make your own account and submit stuff, or just even look at other submissions. To be looking at something (like this blog) is to be either interested or un-interested enough to the point of looking for something interesting. These are the two possible answers to the first question.

2-Why was this site really made?-Now, I'm sure Paril could answer this with an expositional story, but think of it in another sense; this site was made whether anyone liked it or not. Not necessarily PMC, but the soul of it, the very thought of an organized UCC-site, made for all to enjoy (or, apperently critiscize). So as you may think, I'm crazy to think that PMC was made without our consent, but ever since MC was made into a platform for user-creation, it was sure to be made. It may have a different layout or have a smaller or larger community, but no matter what, this site's very idea was bound to be made.

3-Why is it bursting with creative energy?- This is the hardest to answer, for it requires you. Even if you don't submit content, go on the forums, or are even a member of the site, you have helped it. Every submission, view, download, diamond, favorite, comment has somehow made a great difference. Even if it was against any rules, or overlooked by the masses, it has influenced the site and you yourself. Whether your skin has 1 or 111 diamonds, even it's existence itself has somewhat fulfilled you. This counts for projects, blogs, mods, servers, Resource Packs, forum posts, chat posts, even going onto this site. All of this is proof that you exist, and that you want others to see that. If you don't feel satisfied with putting something on the site, well the next subject may help.

4-Do you enjoy this?- Some people hate this. Yes, that strong word hate. They hate making skins, posting blogs, hosting contests only because they feel ignored. They don't get praised, and so they keep trying harder and harder, sometimes only to be turned down by their own actions. Don't believe me? Here:

My first submission on this site is a horrible adventure map. Really it was bad. In fact, the only comment I got on it was somebody asking what the Texture Pack on the images was. I felt sad, than angry that I didn't seem good enough. I tried making an Assassin's Creed map, and it seemed to be great, until I was sick of making it. I was too scared of making something, only to be turned down again. I didn't even feel like being on the site, for I had not been socializing with others on the chat or in the forums. I was scared of something that I caused, and it only affected me.

That's what people really are scared of; self-rejection. Everybody has felt it at some point in their lives, and it is horrible. To feel as if you aren't special or significant, is really ignorant once you get over it. You are worth something, and if posting and trying is what's making you feel that way, you shouldn't do it. You should first find someway of accepting yourself and to get over your self-esteem. To enjoy something, you must find some way to enjoy yourself while doing it. Even if you are ignored or rejected, you should find a way to enjoy it. If you truely can't, then you should find a different way of expressing your existence, for it is worth something.

5-What is this site for, really?- This is an opinion, but one I find relatable in a way: this site is a conductor for people who enjoy contributing to a community. Every skin or project is what makes this conductor bigger and bigger, letting more people express their feelings and ideas for this simple, blocky game. Some people even leave after a while, not because they want this conductor to shrink, but because they know that this isn't what they can enjoy. Whether outside or inside forces push them out, they still know that this place helped them enjoy doing something.

-Afterword- Even if you don't truely enjoy contributing to this site, at least leave this blog knowing that you matter to yourself if you enjoy doing what you do.

This is an amazing blog. I'm surprised you only got 3 diamonds because I doubt I could've said any of this better myself if I tried. I thank you for making this and everything else you've created. Kudos, diamond, and sub to you!
