Notes:
In the poem you will see a line:
As you wait and cry
You wonder if you should just die
That was NOT meant to be a casual joke, suicide is a serious thing and it mainly comes from when people are depressed or lonely
Whatever you do:
DO NOT RESORT TO SUICIDE
I'm speaking as someone who attempted suicide (I guess I'm a survivor- I dunno) - It's not a joke and it takes lives
No matter how hard it is
Try with all your might to fight ebony
Thousands of people die from suicide every day.
It is not a joke

Thousands of people die from suicide every day.
It is not a joke
The Ebony is as sad
As quite drops of rain
Each drop another pang of pain
This is all you can feel-
In the Ebony that is
The Ebony affects everyone- even kids
As it takes every joyful memory-
Even ones of your family
You realize it has no care
And you stuck in its core
A deep bottomless pit
All you can do is sit and wait
For the Ebony to leave
And set you free.
And as you wait and cry
You wonder if you should just die.
The Ebony affects everyone
Even kids.
There is no way to fight it
You are only a leaf in the breeze
Begging on your knees
To be set free from the pain
And to feel joy again
And the Ebony chuckles and says with a cry-
"A bargain? Think again kid."
Alas, you are stuck with the Ebony forever,
No matter what time of day
Or the weather
The Ebony will be there staring at you
Laughing as it sees you wallow in shame
To it, this is just a game.
And even when you think you fought it
It will be there growing on you like moss
And the Ebony will be there forevermore
Always watching you in the shadows
So next time you feel like your alone
Know it is the Ebony haunting your home
Even more notes:
1) As mentioned before SUICIDE IS NOT A JOKE
2) The Ebony is the personification of depression and loneliness
3) The name 'Ebony' doesn't mean anything, it's meant to be like a void type color in wood, it has nothing to do with the skin tone
If you have any questions about the poem please comment or PM me
Also fun fact in my poem journal (yes I have one of those, If a little germ of a poem comes into my mind I won't remember it until I get to my laptop) The story is 3 pages long and I did it at 10 pm 0o0
So sorry if it's sloppy
I was tired.
