The first blog that was ever made by yours truly was made in somewhere in June! I just can't thank you guys enough for all of the fun times we had together, and I sure hope we have many more. I know, I sound like a clichéd broken record here, but hear me out. When I first discovered PMC, I was introduced to it by a server Co-Owner by the name of "simssuker". She still messages me to this day, but that's besides the point. Ever since my first blog on "How I Came to Like Steven Universe" and the ever-so-popular "Random Theory: Humans are Magikarps", I have come a long way to impress you guys. It's quite sad to not see anyone do good blogs anymore, and I remember the site flourishing with so many blogs, and the most wonderful of comments that genuinely make me smile (and sometimes even a giggle) to this day. Through my blogs, I've made wonderful friends such as Vincent_1987, Endure_Slayer, Wyvern/Maloy, wafflegirl__, Plyroar, Folicorow, a crap-load of my subs, and many more. Once the feed system got introduced, more friends emerged like Beverly, TheMarvelousClod, Peytato (AKA Blobby), and plenty more that I couldn't keep track of. Although the feed and skin-making are at their highs, blog-making has unfortunately gone down as low as my interest meter on The Powerpuff Girls 2016 reboot. So in honor of my 1 year-anniversary blog, it's time I make a genuine blog you can laugh at, and I'll be sure to put effort and care into it like always. Enjoy, and may we share many more times together as a result! :3

Now, you're wondering, "How the ever living heck does Eli make her blogs!?". Well, it's actually a process that take forever, and it's easier said than done. It's called Linda.derp! Ha! I was just kidding with you there! Nobody really uses that site anyways because YouTube is a thing. Anyways, back to the real stuff! So, the first bit of making a blog is the inspiration behind it. Now, what I usually do is consider the time of making the blog and what it's actually about. Like for example, let's say I wanted to make a blog post about why Teen Titans Go sucks (I might make that soon, and this is our example for this blog). I wouldn't make the blog too early for people who haven't had an opinion on it yet, or too late in which people won't care about it at all.

This is another reason why I don't make as much Minecraft posts. Sure, people still like it (like me and others on PMC), but the hype has really died down for it (somewhat). If I made one in 2013, however, views would skyrocket like hotcakes. For me, I don't necessarily care about views, and more about the comments on it. More on that later, but let's get to the grueling part: Research.

Yes, I know. You're scared crapless too. But what if I told you that if you had the knowledge of it to begin with, you won't have to do as much research? That's actually true for stuff like Steven Universe, personal experiences, story blogs, clichés, etc. Like if I did the "Teen Titans Go Sucks" blog, I would've had to have prior knowledge going in and how it's made to bring up decent points. Not only that, but you would have to consider the other side of opinions to not bring in as much Magikarp splashing, and you know how much I despise Magikarp comments. Another reason for this is because not only does it turn a glorified rant into a critical blog, but friends (yes, that's what I'm calling the fans/people who view my blogs, because most of you aren't robots) of yours can gain little knowledge snacks along the way, and even double checking the facts themselves.

Now for the next part of this, you will actually write the blog. Yes, I'm talking effort here! When I see most blogs on here (not to be rude), I can see they never added any sparkle to it, nor do any of them put the time and effort into them. For Example, I'll see something like this compared to my works:
Click me to see what I mean by this! This is also how you shouldn't format blogs.
Example 1: Teen Titans Go sucks because it just does. Please Diamond. :P
Example 2: TEEN TITANS GO SUCKS BECAUSE RAWR RAWR RAWR. SUBSCRIBS NOW, PEASANTS.
Example 3: Teen Titans Go sucks because of it's bad morals. Now let me tell you why... It- *explains valid points but it's too hard to read*

Why these are bad:
Example 1: Too vague and desperate.
Example 2: Way too immature, intensive use of caps, also desperate.
Example 3: Good blog, but it's way too hard to read. Trust me, everybody hates highlighting stuff to read it. :T

I mean, seriously guys! Step it up, and not only that, but make it unique! I mean, if you got something creative to show off, just do it. Take advantage of the top part like you're playing the blog like an instrument. This is the reason why I use colored font and pictures, because I want to make it my own blog, and not a common carton copy that everybody does. Also, if you want to add witty remarks and humor to it, go ahead! As long as it follows the PMC rules, go for it! Nobody's going to judge, especially not me...

So are the thumbnails for the blogs, too! If you want a decent blog, you gotta have a picture for your thumbnail. You can draw it, or even better, use it as a meme placeholder. I actually used memes for my previous blogs (if you want them back, let me know), then I drew in MS Paint, and now it's Flash. That Zircon right there in my thumbnail is no clip art my friends! I actually drew that with my own blood, sweat, and tears. Here are some examples of what not to use to be successful:
Stuff Not to Use:
Example 1:
Cave Hanger Contest
Example 2:

Why these are bad:
Example 1: Shows a sign of laziness, but there's a rare chance that it's a good blog.
Example 2: (I actually put a mocking spin on this one because it's so overused, and it's for the lols.) Everybody uses this one... Just no. Too much wince in my face.

Also, it's okay for change, as long as you slowly transfer into it and if you want an honest edge, let them know about the change, like the complaints about the pink font. Now it's blue, so deal with it (unless you want pink back, which is unlikely).

So you finally typed out your blog and made a decent thumbnail. What's next? Well, if you want, there's always memes! My blogs usually consist of memes to make you laugh, guaranteed or your money back. I don't just randomly throw on memes to see what sticks, no. I actually choose hand-picked memes specifically for the topic/sentence at hand. For example, if I point out that a blog topic is boring (Like bringing up the history of Teen Titans), I actually find a meme saying that this topic is boring. I even test the laugh factor of the memes too. If I start to giggle at it, there's a high likelihood that you will too; so I choose that one for the sentence. You don't have to use just memes, because when in doubt, I'll use gifs too.

"But Eli! What if I don't want to use memes!?" Well my complaining "But Eli" friend that I decided to bring back from the dead for some reason, you can still try to make it your own thing, even without memes. So with your comment out of the way, this is the part where you proofread your blog for any grammatical errors or idiotic sentences that don't give you good vibes at all. For example, if I accidentally type out a sentence that I could think would hurt my commenter's feelings, I'd get rid of it. Grammar is part of this too, because people on PMC are smarties, and they think translating incorrect words is a pain (like what I do in these circumstances). Sometimes they'll even point it out as well if they feel so inclined... Once you finally did everything, it's time to post it!

Before you actually do that, make sure to copy/paste the blog first, because if Paril made a whoopsie or you are forced to refresh, good luck trying to do your blog over again, because you ain't getting it back... Ever. This happened to me several times, especially during that one blog contest I didn't enter (The one with the faraway lands, in which my initial idea was that Derpy Steve found an island of intelligent dolphins and they decided to do research on him to find that his memories were erased from playing on Singleplayer Minecraft too much) all because it had to just erase itself like that son of a clod it is!

...Calm yourself, Eli. This is the 1 year anniversary blog for Pete's sake. Let's just get to the part of the after-post. Once you posted it, you have to wait and be patient. You can't just pump out blogs like it nothing! You have to wait for the blog you did to get some steam, first! Make sure to peer at the comments, and not just the diamonds and view-count. Listen to your friends, and if they point out something, do it and make the proper changes. Like what I follow on this plaque here:
The Trial 026http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wbzQZKjGvQI/T7vQVUQS7dI/AAAAAAAAARs/BgIcjGq5sh4/s200/Hotel_Plaque.png
And you must follow that in order to be the very best that no one ever was. The first rule of mass media is to "Give the people what they want", but I think of my friends as actual people, not robots who constantly give diamonds to you. Money is not the way to be happy. Friendship is; and that's the beauty of making blogs. Sure, making these blogs can have their ups and downs, but when actual people in real-life are viewing your stuff, it makes you humble by just thinking about that, and the perseverance it takes to keep going with it. That's what being a blogger is... You get a warm feeling for doing them and you become a better person by doing so. That's what I go through in making these, and I really love you (as friends, because that would be gross) guys when you support what I do. I'm going to go forward in making these blogs, and I ain't stopping now. This is Eli, signing out.

(As a bonus gift from me to you, here's Zircon's voice actor as Foxy Loxy from the movie Chicken Little singing. Happy 1 Year Anniversary everybody... :P)

There is no way to tell a bad blog from a good blog universally because everyone has different tastes.

Yeah, you're actually right there with that point. I did say somewhere in the blog that you can "go nuts with your creativity", but I should've put that in just like I did with the "My Thoughts on Emojis" blog. Seriously, thanks for pointing that out, because this is what the internet in general needs to know.

No prob, Bob (Oh my gosh, I can't believe I just said that reference!). I hope you got something out of the tips and that you can bend them to make them your own!

You know, I'm glad that you've been able to stick with me as well. It may be early on, but it's never too late to make more friends. Just, seriously. Thank you so much!
