If you saw my project on an automatic cobblestone generator, then this should be more clear to you. I was starting a new world in superflat mode, and when it came up, There was trees everywhere. A swamp biome. but then there was an npc villager running around and a 1-block thick house. Then I noticed a massive chunk error o or so I thought. When I looked down, I saw the rest of the NPC village, and most surprisingly, it was in superflat lands! the world seed is -2706217631764672498 but no matter which settings I put in when creating a new world, the same thing never happened again. That's why I'm posting. It's so cool but also so mysterious.

World save download: direct

I know what many people will think, but I swear that I didn't use world edit or anything like that.

How can I have this happen again? I need this to occur for a server I am making, how would I go about doing that?

Heres how i know it would of happend. A save file from a flat world corrupted then you went ahead and created a new default world with the same name. Every unloaded chunk from the flat world was overlapped with normal trrain so No. this is not a bug it is just a corrupted world that was overlapped

I know how this happens, When you create a beta 1.7.3 and load it with a 1.2.5 world this creates this.

i got this same glitch in my superflat! I was wondering if it was because i was using an outdated version, so i did a little research. it is actually called the far lands, and every superflat has them, if you travel far enough.

Yeah, in Beta, there was this thing where if you went far enough, the word just glitched and you see these giant lines of blocks. It's weird. But look it up, it's cool.

I know that in 1.6, if you go far enough, the world simply stops. You fall through all blocks into void. Not sure if it still exists in 1.7, but it'll probably be "fixed" with the new border thingies in the 1.8 snapshot.

This kind of thing has been seen numerous times even still to this very update. And some are very similar. I was once running around on a pvp faction server and had found what looked very alike the glitch in that picture. The biome cut off and in place another biome went onward.

It might have been the server owner using worldEdit, or because of the new 1.7 biome generation. But yes, this glitch is fairly common, I've seen it several times since posting this..
