Am I the only one who is a bit sick of these "Escape The Jail/Hospital/Asylum" maps that have been gaining a ton of popularity on PMC? Everyday, on the popular projects page, there is at least one of these escape maps. At first, I was confused at the amount of diamonds and downloads that these projects got despite the lack of presentation and care. Constantly, the pictures representing these maps show nothing about the actual gameplay. The descriptions, also, give out zero information. I decided to give them a chance and downloaded one to see if my mind could be changed. I found that not to be the case. Inside the map, I saw a lack of effort, stye, and character. These maps contain generic puzzles that have already been used, boring environments, and no storyline. Now if these people were giving a lot of effort and gaining the top spots on the popular page, I would completely fine with that. But a complete disregard for even the most simplest of grammar tells me that these maps are just thrown together, named "Escape" in some way, and suddenly given a lot of downloads and diamonds. I'm mostly just ranting because of the other mapmakers that have great maps that are presented nicely getting nothing. I am probably being too harsh considering I have not played 'every' single escape map that has been made recently, (there have been many). Feel free to hate on me for my opinion but also explain to me why this "Escape Map" fad is happening.
