There seems to be a large amount of texture packs being uploaded to Planet Minecraft the past couple of days that require you to take a survey. I have noticed that most of them read as "HD" or "Real Life" texture packs, be careful what you click and download while this is being investigated by the PMC staff.
How to know which texture packs are fake:
If you try to download a texture pack and it ask you to take a survey before downloading it, CLOSE IT OUT. These are fake texture packs and will result in spyware and a virus.
Another way of knowing if its a fake:
Thanks to everyone who took the time to post links to these fake texture packs. Staff has removed the ones posted here on my blog, but don't stop now. Please continue to report and post links to fake texture packs on my comments to help out the users and staff in finding these fakes.

If you click on the first image, which should be near lava it gets bigger. If you then right click it and click save, you will see the default file name is "FAKE MC1_821803". I am sure if you investigate this, more of the fake texture packs will have their files default name this way as well.
