Hello and welcome to this blog.

There is a bit reading to do I know, but reading is a privilege so take your time reading the stuff you are most interesting about on this blog

This blog concerns planet minecraft members who cares for other peopleo s opinions and are giving other people feedback. If you got everything sorted out for yourself then good for you.

After working on something for many hours, days, weeks etc you would like some appreciation on your work. Most of us love feedback, we want to know other peoples opinion. We want response both on the good and bad side of our work. Mostly good, we also love to hear what we can improve on. Feedback comes in many different ways. Leto s have a look at some of them. But firsto ¦

..What is the good side of giving feedback and what is the bad side of it?

Submissions are uploaded on pmc every day, some are good, some are decent and some of them dono t hold up to the standards. But if you spot a good submission, try not to ignore it. Got anything to say? Click the submission and say something it in the comment section.

The bad side of feedback is if you are too critical and not point out the membero s good side and only the bad sides. This can make a huge impact on his future work. Dono t hold back information that can help the person improve. This person can learn a lot, so dono t damage his future work when you start commenting like a jerk and not giving him motivation to work harder and improve.

Also, do not verbally attack the member with curse words and negative attitude when the member has done a really good job. These are humans you are replying to and they do have feelings. Not everyone is strong enough to leave it as it.

The good submission
If you have used time and hard work on your submission, then I would consider it as a good submissions. Originality, appearance, execution and hard work is what truly makes a submission special. They must have these standards for me to diamond their work. Now the appearance part is not that important for new submitters that much. They are developing and dono t always know the right techniques to show off their work in the best way, but the work itself is good.

Nice feedback:
The member has worked hard on this submission, he would appreciate some of your real thoughts on his work. What part do you like best? What part did you not enjoy the most? Can he improve? Is there anything the member could add or change? Are you impressed? etc.

Poor feedback:
Imagine every comment saying the same: o Nice!o , o good worko , o amazing mano etc. Now ito s your turn to give a real good informational feedback that the submitter would appreciate. Dono t go with the flow, try breaking that barrier if you get what I mean. Even worse, dono t comment nonsense in the comment section. Be respectful to the member who did a great job. Dono t be rude. If you are giving constructive criticism do it in a professional way by not upsetting the member, but telling him what you dislike about the submission and how he can improve.
Poor submission.
These are often stolen or illegal submissions. Also submissions that have not been used short time and effort to make. The quality is poor and the appearance is terrible.

Nice feedback:
If the submission is against the rules, report it. If you dono t see any need to report it and you think you can guide the member to a right path, then do it. Tell the member and give him tips on how he can improve his work. Never leave a fallen soldier behind, thato s what I would say ;)

Poor feedback:
Dont be rude when you are commenting on the submission. If you can, tell him how to improve his work. And never tell the person how he broke the rules in a rude way, ito s not your job to enforce anyone following the rules if you are telling him what to do. Let the moderators handle that. Only guide him what he could do. Private message him!
A friendo s/Subscriptiono s submission
A submission your friend/subscription made or someone you know.

Nice feedback:
You can always give short nice/funny/weird comments on the persono s submission, but I think they also would appreciate some real nice feedbacks. If your friend worked hard just give tell him/her your opinion on their work. He/she loves reading them. If the person made a really bad submission just help him out, dono t ignore it.

Poor feedback:
Dont be rude or really creepy weird, thats all.
Extraordinary submission
This one goes for the best submission PMC gets. The ones that hit 80 diamonds by night, the submissions that makes you want to dance. They are good enough for you to diamond, download, favorite the submission, and subscribe the member. Just stunning submissions.

Nice feedback:
The comment section will be full of members going wild of this submission, make your stand by telling the member what you think about his creation. These people are top class builders, skinners, coders etc. They need your feedback to see If the can improve even more. Just a regular o good jobo comment doesno t get them anywhere when clearly ito s obvious they done an amazing job. Yes off course they appreciate that, but long feedbacks is always the best. Give them inspiration to make even better creations. Be the guy who gives the right kind of feedback and dono t be the usual guy who leaves the o nice!o comment. Be professional and be a gentleman when you go all out and telling him what you really think of his work. Even if you think your comment would not count since there are like 100 more comments there, dono t be afraid to do it. This is not youtube, some people will actually read your comment and reply back. So next time you see a creation with 100+ diamonds and tons of comments, dono t ignore it or just give it a diamond and leave when you have many thoughts and some opinions on the persons work. Say it, the member appreciates that really much.

Poor feedback:
Most people are jealous when they see a really good executed submission. They tend to set their emotions free in the comment box and tell the member how bad the submission is and what he forgot etc etc.

Haters gonna hate:

Well, could you make anything better? Haha guessed do:3 So stop vining and complaining on him/her`s submission instead of telling them what they actually deserves to hear. Boost their confidence instead of killing it. If you skipped to read the information in the description or even not taken the time to download the submission and try it, then do not criticize the submission by its look only. Get every information needed to have a better view and look on the submission and its purpose. Why did the person do it this way? Why did he add this and that? Well ask him and read the description! I am sure there is a reason

Taking feedback
You should respect everyoneo s opinion. If the member is not taking you seriously then you should not take him seriously but instead giving help to act properly. Be thankful when a skilled member comments your work, take his/her advice. Always find better ways to improve. They will help you get inspiration and motivation.
Submission category
People would love to hear what you think about their build and which part you liked the most. If you think they can improve then tell them how. They would love some opinions on their idea behind the project and how well they have executed it. If the project is a big one and can have some question related to it, then just ask the members some questions about the project. They love to answer. Both new and pro builders

When it comes to skinners and especially new ones new ones, tell them ways to improve their skins. Tell them which part you liked the most. When it comes to pro skinners and their submissions I personally feel short and nice feedbacks/comments on their skins are enough. Ito s up to you how you want to show off your feelings to the skin, but I dono t recommend you to write long feedbacks on a skin.

Tell the submitter if you like the texturepack, if there are some textures you didno t like just tell him/her why and how you would personally like them to be change it.

Comment the staff, the players, the concept, your stay and how you were treated on the server. Did you enjoy it? Tell them. Servers are all about people getting together, doesno t matter if you are a noob, just have fun ;D

What did you like about the mod? Tell the member, in this case you can tell him/her what you think could be added or should be removed on the mod. Tell the person why you want this to happen. If you are a mod maker yourself and you think you could help the person improve, just tell him. Dono t be ignorant and walk away from the submission. PM the person would be the best sometimes.

This is PMC and not the New York times. Dono t be too critical on what the member writes about, but be professional when you are giving your opinion on his/her blog. Remember: no answer is right, but some are more correct then others so every opinion should be respected. Be professional when you comment a blog. Dono t be rude, but express yourself in a good and reasonable way
Always comment on new membero s submission. Some people need to improve their work and they need YOU to tell them how. Opinions are not facts, but they help a lot.

Thato s all for this blog.

So remember, if you are going to comment; think about what you are saying. Maybe you can turn a noob to a pro.

And as always, take care ;D

Sorry if this seems like I'm advertising, but I had previously written a blog that deals with a topic similar to this and I think it'd be good for commenters to read this so that they know exactly what they arecommenting.
Again, I give my dearest apologies for taking your "business", Xoyjaz. You may remove this comment from your submission if you deem the action fit. Thanks!

Its ok =) People could read that as well
Exemplary blog! (and yes, I was forced to Google synonyms for "good" because it's not good enough)
I like how it gives detailed explanations on how to act in different circumstances, instead of a general "Always be nice and polite, bye!". Now I am going to go write a better comment on that server I diamonded.

Very well thought out, although it's not that long. I feel you were exaggerating just a tad on how long the blog was. Other than that, it was well thought out blog for others who might read this it will really help them figure out what to say when commenting instead of the boring ol' "Good job!" "Great work!" "Keep it up buddy!" :3
