Hi guys, Greytopher here. I know I haven't made a blog for a while, partly because I was gone for four weeks at a summer camp. Now I'm just trying to get back into the groove of things, and I hope you'll enjoy my first (and 60th) blog in a long time.
I've got to be perfectly frank with you guys; as much as I enjoy my time here, it changes too fast and I want to try and relive the days that have gone by. It's sad to see a lot of my PMC friends have left, and the majority that call themselves my friend are more of people sucking up that want to be mod, amongst other reasons. But just because times have changed does not mean it has gone from better to worse, or worse to better. I would say it's still at that same standard, but just looked at from a different perspective.
A Reflection of Sorts...
I would like to start out that this blog is more of a reflection of my time spent here. Since the day that I started, I started this account with my friend rspminecraft, and our original name was rspgreytopher. We uploaded our builds together here, until he quit life altogether and left me to twiddle my thumbs. And thus, when uploading projects seemed to be a dud, and depression hit, was my first blog.
After that was a whirlwind of other bloggers competing for the popular reel (such as OliverFrenchie, Snowylips, and some guy with an 'N' in his name...). Blogging associations were formed, people did blog battles (I never partook), and I would say that was the start of the blog section going from bad tutorials to the better. That was when choices were made and new categories were formed, with better blogging styles and people being interested in writing.
Over time people got quite sick with writing. As months went by, popular bloggers ceased to write, or their blogs just weren't up to par to what they had wrote in the past. The golden age of bloggers seemed quite brief and it upset a lot of people. I know many of these people still get PMs from fans saying why aren't they writing, why they should continue, and so on. I know there are loads of good bloggers today, but from what I see, there are too many people lingering in the past and hoping that the old writers will come again.
The Hard Truth...
If you're going to pray for them to come back, I can tell you right now that your success rate is a lot lower than actually acting and doing something. It's a lot more unlikely for that person to come back and be a god and write and do good stuff and be a bro and things like that. If you want something to change, you better have the guts to do it yourself. That's how things change in PMC, heck, even in the real world.
I see people sniff around, kick the dust, and just say "I want things to be back how they used to be..." Well, TOUGH LUCK SPORT. Reality is hard, and the only way to get around that fact and to not mope around is to change the future by doing it yourself instead of waiting for others to change it for you.
That's what I hate the most: there are two kinds of people in this world. People who wait, and people who act. Those who wait are like fair-weather fans in sports, they only support what's going on when it's going good. Otherwise, if it's going bad, they just ignore it for the time being. Those who act are those who want to be the change, and they are the ones who finally get the ball rolling. They're the ones you should be, if your not one already.
I see too many people waiting around and hoping that something will happen. Don't hope, be that thing that changes the blogging world. If you do it, it'll inspire others around you to participate as well. Nothing could really go wrong, so what's the harm in trying?

That is all
I was never one of the good bloggers like you and oli, but I certainly did try XD
But I agree with this blog completely.
^what a good line
Great blog grey, you taught me something new today.
But please. Go on Reddit. Myspace. Misc. Forums. Websites you don't care about. Wherever. Spread the word of your blog.
But anyway, I know where you're coming from. I usually just sit around just waiting for someone to make thing I wanted replicated because I find it too hard. Usually I find crap. But I can't just sit around and be depressed and bored. "It's Minecraft god dangit. Do something about it. It's Minecraft, just build it yourself. If someone could, it's definitely possible. Sure, you'll have some times you struggle, but if it's something you do, just do it." -Cheese's thoughts. It's not like you can just call Noxcrew, Gazamo Team (creators of A'thyrs Ascended), Mithrintia, or whoever to help you out. If it's your dream to be a great builder like them, then this project is major practice. Sure, it's not going to take 5 minutes, but who cares? Gives you something to do and you may just find a new building style while you're at it.
I would go into blogging, but I just can't easily think of ideas. Actually I don't have too much to talk about. But, meh. I also don't wanna steal your job. I'm gonna leave the inspirational talking to you. You definitely express the inspiration than most people.
