So, today I'm going to review a game:
A Valley Without Wind
A Valley Without Wind
General:
A Valley Without Wind is a 2D platformer where you fight monsters, go on missions and gain resources to re-build the continents.
Storyline:
You are a "glyphbearer", one of the chosen ones. The world of Environ has shattered to pieces during "the cataclysm". Evil robots from the future, as well as monsters from the past have come to take control of the world of Environ. As a glyphbearer, it is your job to go on missions, collect resources, rescue survivors, fight monsters and try to save the world of Environ. The world of Environ is "procedurally generated sandbox" which you can explore freely. You can even go to the overlord's lair (continental boss) any time you want, but the chances that you will defeat him are..low.

Mechanics:
Oh goodie, we've gotten to the mechanics part! Alright. This is probably the longest part in the review:
MOVEMENT:
The movement in AVWW is very simple. Like in a lot of other games, you use the arrow keys.
LEFT ARROW - Move Left
RIGHT ARROW - Move Right
DOWN ARROW - Sneak
SPACE - Jump
DOUBLE CLICK LEFT/RIGHT ARROW - Speed Dash (Only if you HAVE the spell)
SPELL CASTING:
To cast spells, you need to either craft or pick them up. There are 2 ways to cast spells:
Mouse: Left Click for Primary Spell, Right Click for Secondary Spell
Keyboard: Numbers.
To set your Primary Spell, simply drag and drop the spell from any spell slot to the first spell slot.
To set your Secondary Spell, simply drag and drop the spell from any spell slot to the second spell slot.
CRAFTING:
The crafting in AVWW is also very simple. Once you have the required materials, go to a crafting station (found in your settlement) and select the spell you want to craft. If you don't have the required materials, you can't craft the spell.
ENCHANTS:
Enchants work similar to the way they work in MC, however in AVWW, the enchants are applied to the PLAYER, and not the item/spell.
To add an enchant just press X and drag the enchant from your inventory to one of the slots which will appear upon pressing X.
ITEMS/ARMOR:
The items in AVWW are usually items you use to get up to high areas. The items can be used just like spells.
There are 3 types of armor in AVWW;
2 that protect from fire/lava (heat suits)
1 that protects from ice
To equip armor, you need to right-click the icon in your inventory.
Goals:
Your goal is to defeat as many Overlords on as many continents as possible. You also have a goal to rescue survivors from evil monsters/robots.
