TT's thing
Standing in the middle of my town, I was overwhelmed by fear, overwhelmed by the fear of death. I had a lot of trouble facing the fact that this duel would perhaps be my last. My opponent was too strong, too skilled. He was carrying a golden gun, his signature weapon.
I took a deep breath and looked him right in the eyes. It was time. I quickly tried to draw my gun, but he was too fast. Then, it all went black.
I woke up in a surprisingly comfortable bed. I did not know where I was, but I knew that I was far from home. Suddenly, I heard a little girl’s voice:
“Mommy, the man is awake!” - she said as I noticed her standing next to the bed.
Shortly after, a woman came into the room.
“Hello there, how are you feeling?” - she asked me.
I looked around for a second ignoring her question.
“Where am I? What happened?” - asked and began to stand up on my feet.
“You are in the town of Pirn. My daughter and I found you by the lake lying unconcious and brought you back here.” - the woman answered me.
For a while, we all stayed silent. I was trying to make figure out the location of the town by looking at the landscape through the window and they were just standing there waiting for me to respond.
“Would you like to join us for breakfast?” - the woman asked quickly.
I nodded and we went down into another room. The food was poor, and it was obvious the woman and child weren’t all that rich either. I noticed the absence of a husband, which made me curious if they were perhaps running from someone.
After breakfast, I explored the town looking for a horse to get to a bigger town as soon as I could. There seemed to be few people living in the small town. The buildings in the town seemed similar to the ones back home, and the people were unusually silent. After a very long search, I found a horse, but it was getting dark and so I decided to wait until morning to start riding.
I wanted to spend the night in the house of those who found me to save myself the trouble of looking for somewhere to stay. They had no objections and I went to bed quite early.
I had a dream that night. In the dream, I was standing in the desert just like before. The same man had his golden gun, and the same fear overwhelmed me. Moments later, the gun fired. Then, I woke up.
I heard shouting in the lower section of the house, so I went to see what it was. I overheard a man’s voice:
“You think you can take my daughter away from me like that!?” - the man shouted.
I came into the room, but the man did not see me.
“You’re dead! You hear me? Dead!” - he shouted at her.
He pulled out a gun and fired and I immediately jumped in front of the woman without hesitation. It all began to fade. I took one final look at the man and his gun and noticed - the gun was golden.
