Good old times...

I started playing minecraft at 1.2.5, most of you would say I started pretty late, but I don't care, it's where I started.

I was a noob, I didn't know that much about minecraft, couldn't craft without the use of minecraft wiki, and I didn't know what 90 % of all items did.

My first creative creations were a desert Inn with a small railway leading to a mine, an underground ice base, and some redstone tests, and actually, I still can't make better buildings than those...

Because I guess almost every minecrafter loses his "motivation" or such after a while, things aren't new, and even when there's an update, it still doesn't give you that feeling you had when you just started.

Yeah, I've got better, I know every recipe, I can make quite good redstone things, and more, but I miss that feeling, that feeling you get when every block you place is mysterious, like it has magical properties, or does more than you'd expect.

Or the first time I actually joined a server...

I thought that plugins weren"t plugins, but just features in vanilla minecraft, and I tried to do the things you could do with plugins in single player worlds.

I saw plugins get popular, and then get discontinued, or totally changed, I saw servers who had 200 players, and then, after an update or 2, it only had around 20...
for example NyanCraft, and others. (NyanCraft was the first server I ever joined).

I've had friends & lost them.
I've made buildings and got griefed.

But most of all, I have lost that feeling, I lost the feeling you get when you see new things you don't understand. I lost the feeling of being amazed by buildings, being amazed by new kinds of servers like hungergames, and being amazed by mods & texture packs.

I remember the first mod I ever tried to install & totally failed at..
Minecolony, I was amazed by the thought of running my own colony, with NPC's and quest alike things.
I remember I totally messed up the installation.

I also remembered one of the first times I tried downloading something and clicked an ADF.LY advertisement link.

After that, I stopped downloading things some time, but now, it's something I do pretty much, downloading mods or texturepacks.

I remember the times before the "Budder" spam, and before the huge spam of PVP & Faction servers.
I miss those old servers, just survival, small communities, where everyone was nice.

No spamming "please donate" or "tell your friends"

I sometimes wonder or there's some sort alike server still out there...

I also remember finding my first coal, I was totally unsure about what it could do, I also remember finding my first iron & gold, I made armor, and thought gold was better, but yeah, most of you should now that gold isn't better than iron, so I got killed pretty much.

I also remember falling into lava the first time.

I was like "NOOOOOOOOO" and then ran back to the lava, I didn't know items burn when they fall into lava, so I searched the whole cave for my stuff.

When I saw a spider jockey for the first time, I literally ran at it, just to see it from more closely, and then I had to kill it because I'd be killed otherwise.

I also remember my first faction, I called it "madmax3004", I was pretty bad at English back then, so I just named it by my username.

I could tell you allot more about my first encounters on minecraft, and my stories, but hey, that's for some other time.

So actually, I love 1.6.2, not because of the update & such, I mean, yeah it's cool, but because of the launcher, and possibility to change to older versions, because now, I can play alpha, beta, and my old version, where it all started, 1.2.5...

Thanks Mojang, Notch, Jebb, and all others for giving me the possibility to build my dreams and play this epic game.

Thanks...

Got on the pop reel, thanks everyone for supporting this blog!

Level 12 : Journeyman Pig
This always helps me remember back when i was a NooB; I did not know how to craft,I didn't know how to scroll on the hotbar,(This is when i was playing the minecraft demo) I loathed hostile mobs,Especially witches and creepers; Then one day i went mining without a pickaxe and got stuck in a cave deep underground and could not find the way out. When i purchased the actual minecraft and was not a noob anymore, I went to the world named Demo_world and saw lava, jumped in and respawned on the surface.
