Hello! I am making this post to help notify the community on how to fix some broken environmental resource packs. Some environmental resource packs such as the Dramatic Skies resource pack are slightly outdated. If you are having trouble with packs like these, first make sure you have optifine installed. Next, if they are installed, but are not working follow the instructions below:
Microsoft Windows Instructions
1. Open up your .minecraft folder
-By opening Run, typing %AppData%, and opening the .minecraft folder
-Or by opening File Explorer and typing in %AppData%
2. Open up your resourcepacks folder
3. Open the environment pack giving you trouble
4. Open the assets folder
5. You should now see a folder labeled "mcpatcher". This is the folder giving you trouble. This folder is slightly outdated. You want to rename it to 'optifine'
6. This should have fixed the problem. Reinstall the environment resource pack and enjoy!
