I would just like to quote that I used to believe in this strange minecraft creepypasta labeled: Herobrine. If you haven't heard of him, he has the skin of steve, but with white eyes. He tortures minecraft players in ways that make them feel like they are being hacked and or haunted. But I would just like to write that He is really just Mojang's made up story to get players more interested in the game. I feel bad saying this and I hope that they don't hate me but, is there really an A.I. in this game haunting random peoples games? It seems a little far-fetched that it hops into other peoples games right! And I mean, people quote that they have seen him and give "Proof," and I guess that I could be wrong but, I feel that he may have actually been in the game one time. And if mojang programs a game and can't "unprogram" Herobrine like it says in the updates: "Removed herobrine." Then how was it in the game in the first place? They probably could have taken IT out if they really wantede to, but they decided to keep it in to get players interested. And every game has creepypasta! But, Herobrine was probably put in on purpose, and if you think about all of the evidence I have stated, I am probably right. But please feel free to comment and tell me if I am right, or 197% INCORRECT! I like to know how I did, so thanks for reading! Also sorry if I came out wrong im not a mean person.
Anyways, Im sorry to say this but I think that your friend might be trolling you, or whoever the owner is or someone who had permissions on the server. But it probably was either a troller or a hacker, which are the most likely situations. I remember that when I used to believe in herobrine I read a lot about "him", and 1-2 years later I finally realized that he probably isnt real, but here's what I know already:
1. He doesn't have a nametag
2. If you find trees with no leaves, signs that say stop, little sand pyramids, 2x2 tunnels in your world, he's supposed to be torchering you.
3. He doesn't go on servers
4. He doesn't fly around or do trolly/crazy stuff like flying around placing tnt, or spawning a bunch of pigman, he isn't supposed to have that power.
5. Notch and herobrine don't show up and have a big duel, because notch is the creater and also, a real person wouldn't act like herobrine was a brother and get all dramatic inside of a video game.
6. The only things he is "known" to do inside of your game is 1: stalk and eventually kill in death traps sneakily, 2: destroy your stuff but not in a weird steriotipical way, 3: make weird objects in your world made by a player, and he doesn't do any of this out in the open.
7. He doesn't have creative commands, like /kill and such, thats all a fake
8. Notch obviously says almost every update, removed herobrine so hes probably trying to troll us all and add something that all minecraft players will know about and use to troll if they want to
Well, theres more but these are just some of the things that he is supposed to do, also more proof in my opinion people troll and hes fake
