Ya know, I go through the skins that people make, and see that people make skins TOO HIGH DEF.

This includes gravel skins, skins where you can't put in enough of the detail for it to look like how you want it too.

This is mainly for those who make skins like this:



While I LOVE Crash bandicoot, and nto many know what he originally looked like, I HATE how this is a gravel skin. Crash bandicoot, though a very low detailed character, does not look like crash bandicoot at all in this picture.

Looks more like a dog with gravel skin.

Now, I don't say this to insult Riko. In fact, I've seen his work, a few good ones here and there, a few bad ones too. But the shading is a bit...too switchy, or the shading for each color changes to a gloomier or brighter color too quickly, makign it look like a very blocky and under detailed skin.

I'm nto complaining here, in fact, I am showing an example of what I grow tired of seeing.

Now for the real part.

Modding.

Seriously people. I understand that you want to display a "high def" skin like this while online, but that just makes you look like you have low taste. Granted, what I'm about to say can fix this, but it would require a bit less of online viewing.

Because while you play online, only you would be able to see your legitimately high def skin.

Make a mod. In mods, and texture packs, I've seen skins that were so high def, they looked good. You can change how mnay pixels you can edit in making a mod/texture pack.

Make a mod, download it, change your skin. Make a texture pack, download it, play as offline player.

Eitehr way, you can fix the ugly look of minecraft's default bit skins.

But only you'd be able to see it.

Since Minecraft is mostly played offline, and alone, though some of you may say nay, I'm lying, or I'm wrong, tis more true than the world you see is 3-D.

Ya see, you can still see your skin, but others can't. In the future, I hope that we can choose to have a low bit skin, medium bit, or high def skin.

Because these low definition pieces of crap we all make are starting to get to be huge eye sores.
