History of the Creeper and how it was made:
First off, I'd like to welcome you to another one of my blogs. Today I will tell you how the creeper was invented and what it originally was.
What is a Creeper?
Surely by now, you minecrafters should know this, but maybe you don't. The Creeper is a hostile (bad) mob that will "creep" up on the player and explode in their faces, or backs. It gained it's name as it really does do the creeping quite well, such as when you accidentally leave the door open to your house, it walks in and destroys you and your home, making you homeless. They spawn in the overworld at night and will attack at any time of day. they do not burn in sunlight, making them a pain in the back side of your body...literally. When a creeper is killed, it's "fuel" drops out of it's green body. Gunpowder can then be used to make TNT, which is basically a standing form of a creeper.
Why did they add it to the game?
You might find this hard to believe, but notch even agreed to it. The Creeper was a FAILED attempt at making a pig. When the creeper first appeared it was harmless and dropped Raw pork, just like pigs do. So yeah...It was really an accident that had no purpose, until notch decided to give it a purpose. To Creep.
Why are they green?
erm...no particular reason, except for camouflage...yeah... (not sure)
Explosions?
When the Creeper was introduced, he came dropped his head (looked down) when he was about to explode. They acted similar to zombies, except for the explosive personality that they had (get it? the pun? lol). There really is no reason for their explosive personality, except for them being lonely and wanting friends...they tend to get a little excited. When they explode, they can destroy most blocks, with the exception of Stones.
How do I kill them?
The best method is to sprint, jump and punch, then run away, and then repeat it over and over until he dies.
