Hello everyone and welcome to my story thing. It's nothing special, just something I've been writing when I'm bored in school (which is lots, seriously it's easy). As a result I'll be uploading it in chapters as I write them.  It also may take me a while to get bits done, based on how interesting lessons are. I was forced to split this chapter into two parts due to time constraints, however the remainder of the chapter will be up tomorrow. Without further delay, here it is.

Hollask's quest

Where had things gone so worng? How had Hollask, a descendant of some of the greatest mages in the history of Alkazaar, ended up in such a situation?Never before had he been faced with such a dilemma. It felt as though many hours had passed and he was still no closer to reaching his decision. This was not a choice he should ever have been forced to make. Sighing, Hollask leaned back in his chair, eyes opening slowly. Applying pressure to his temples the mage resigned himself to solving this predicament later that day. Perhaps he should question one of the servants on how to go about the matter. After all, how was a protector of the realm (well, actually he was more dedicated to studying long lost arcane arts and ancient artifacts rather than battling) expected to know how the king took his tea? No, the very idea was preposterous! Nonetheless, when playing host to royalty it was only proper to have everything prepared before the guest`s arrival. The sorcerer wasn't typically one to pay much heed to such procedures, he did after all come from on of the most powerful families on the continent, how ever the ruler of the realm did technically outrank him and in order to maintain the centuries of friendship between his and th eruling families these formalities were... necessary. Callum, for that was the king's name, still put a lot of stock in tradition after all.

The armchair in which Hollask hab been seated groaned as it's occupant rose to his feet. It was an old chair, a family heirloom, perhaps two centuries old. Despite the years of use however, the piece of furniture remained in a good state.  The red velvet cushioning hadn't faded, at least noticably and there were no signs of decay or woodworms in the frame. All thanks to good maintenance of course... and trace amounts of magic...well, it was all down to magic really but that's beside the point. Turning his back on the seat  Hollask left the room, descending the stairs of his tower to enter the dazzling city of Aetherius, the present capital of Alkazaar. Located high aabove the center of the land. As such the palace was located here, though Hollask possesed a tower within the city, mirrored on the other side by another, this time belonged by Maahroony, whose ancestors, along with Hollask's own, had founded the Alkazaarian Order, a council of the oldest and most respected families in the land, serving to maintain the peace and oftzen serving as the king's advisors.  As the descendants of those pioneers, The two were possibly the most powerful figures, unofficially of course.

Arriving at the Palace the mage strolled through the great gates with merely a nod to the guards, who recognised him and dared not challenge him. Rather than heading to any of his usual destination the sorcerer made his way to the kitchens, ignoring the curious glances thrown his way. His business was with the one responsible for preparing the king's beverages, upon locating the man and learning that what Callum drank could hardly be called tea, Hollask left, disgusted. To ruin such a fine drink with that amount of sugar was unspeakable. Infact he flat out refused to serve such a demonic concoction. No, he would present his Majesty with true tea.
