Well i have that question in my mind for 3 days in a row... but the game is downloadable for 3 years?, and i don't believe that men have 3 years old... how can tell me how old are the dear Steve?

i think , that we can't even call him steve since he/she/it can be whatever the skin and more importantly your imagination says.
( i know this isn't the answer you were searching for , but that's my idea xD )

From what I assume from Notchs' blog

"The human model is intended to represent a Human Being. Not a male Human Being or a female Human Being, but simply a Human Being."

I would guess that the player is just a blank canvas for your imagination, Steve is both Male and Female, and is also 10 and 90. From this prospect this is where skinning comes in where you use your imagination to assign an age, gender and other characteristics to your avatar.

All in all: Steve isn't a person with actual attributes, but just a person in minecraft.
