There are alot of people wondering how to increase your minecraft RAM allowance. This guide is a quick and detailed one which will show you step-by-step how to do it. So, let's crack on with this, shall we?
So, basically, if you didn't know. Minecraft uses RAM (Random access memory) which allows minecraft to use the Random Access memory to process data. If minecraft doesn't have enough of RAM, it will show up an error telling you exactly that. If you are getting this error often you might want to change the amount of RAM minecraft uses. Warning, do not allow Minecraft more RAM than your computer has allowance to.
That is all I got for today, Take care.
Sincerely,
Sam

- Open up your minecraft launcher.
- Press the button on the far down left saying "Edit profile".
- A new window will appear, look at the bottom of your page for "JVM Arguments" which stands for "Java arguments".
- By default the text in the text box should show "-Xmx1G". If it doesn't show that, please change it to the text.
- If you want to allow your minecraft 2 Gigabytes of RAM, change the 1G to 2G. If you only want to allow 500 Megabytes of RAM to your minecraft, change "1G" to "500M" where "M" stands for Megabytes.
- Usually, minecraft runs great at around 1 Gigabyte, but some computers just doesn't handle that and needs a small upgrade.
That is all I got for today, Take care.
Sincerely,
Sam
