Hello Guys,

I have thought a lot about this as I am starting YouTube.

I am not a pro at this but I just want to help out my youtube career and everyone elses.

Anyway, so lets begin

1)
Channel Arts, logos, and Thumbnails make a massive difference

Making graphics to put them on your profile helps alot to attract the viewers of what you can do, to also look proffesional.

If there was 1 custom thumbnail out of a list of non-customized thumbnails, would you click it?

'Cause I would.

2)
 Advertising

Advertising on forums helps alot, should be noted that you should not say "hey, check out my friends channel, it is <link>"
It should be detailed with information of what they do to let others get interested in you, and to showcase some videos inside the forum for your new fans to watch what you do.

3) Quality

Out of all the recordings I've had, my recording videos have been 720p that is really good if you configurate your recording software properly.
Quality, makes viewers come to watch, because who would watch a blurry video? No-one!
This fact and time, I am going to give you a suggestion on getting Bandicam and Fraps for recording, and then configurate.

I would also consider buying them to look more proffesional.

4) Tags

If nobody knows what tags are, they're words that you put into search engines such as Google, Bing, even YouTube, to find your channel, or with whatever you post.
Keep the tags straight about what the channel is about, and put it as unique as possible.
If you want some inspiration or thoughts, I would research them online.
I wouldn't recommend tags like "Minecraft" because about there are alot of people who use that tag every day.
Put something unique in it, have a look around for people who put tags in their description, post your video and steal them off them, if it's a Unique video I mean.

5) Commenting

If you like watching YouTube, then comment alot, don't post hatrid things such as "you suck" but be nice about them, people will say "thank you" and will think you're a nice guy.
Because they will think you're a nice guy will make your channel a whole lot better, and a lot more views because the person who replies back on that comment, would probably check your channel out.

6)
 Join Networks

Join new networks such as Fullscreen or Freedom!
They have a lot of give-aways open, a lot of help and they develop new partnership groups and so much more, and payments to help out your channel! (such as paying for graphics or tools, or even games to make more videos with)

7) Make a UNIQUE name for yourself

Make a name for yourself, someone unique so when someone tells their friends about them, you will be easy to talk about such as your name and easier to find.

8) Collabs

Playing with friends is the best way for your channel to grow.

9) Spread the word

Spread the word to help your channel grow.
(Tell your friends! Tell your family members! Tell your.. grandma?)

10) Don't change because of your youtube

I've seen too many good youtubers begin to think about the money more than about the enjoyment of uploading. Don't change because of your youtube channel, let your youtube channel change because of you. (Thanks to 1928i)

I know i'm writing this comment three months later, but whatever.

So you said partner with a network like Freedom or Fullscreen. Which one are you partnered with?

Hi there!
Do not worry about it being a long time away since I made this, I appear to be checking on regularly.
Personally, I like Freedom, you get much more money, get more subscribers and able to find more people on there to collab with, and I am with Freedom at the moment,
However, I have not been in touch with any partners around Freedom!
I am still with them though, but you don't have to, it is just for a better chance on your YouTube career.

Just a thought... if you're not a successful YouTuber yourself, doesn't that nullify the point of this post? I mean, how would you be able to help anyone get popular on YouTube when you can't even help yourself?

Because I don't hardly post on YouTube good sir, and I know you have stated a point, but don't be cocky sir, I am only trying to help people be more successful with tips, I don't essentially have to be a famous YouTuber to do something like this, sir.

I'm not trying to be cocky. What I'm saying, is that IMO you are currently in no position to give out tips of how to become a successful youtuber, as if it did not work for you, it is purely based upon speculation.

Any person is able to give out tips for this sort of thing.
Also, I take that as being cocky.

Please don't use all bold and underlined, it makes it hard to read and hurts my Eye's. Bold and underlines are for emphasis not regular writing.

Well what do you like doing?

I see that you chose the "pokemon" tag so to me, that indicates that you like Pokemon.
Check out pokemon videos and you could do yours.
If not, then there may be some other things you may like doing.
