Step 1
Step one, You need to find a server to play on log on and get wood, at least 3 stacks is a fair amount to make a base on a factions server. Make a faction /f create now, you need to find a land far from spawn because near spawn bases are tended to be found faster and be raided looted and griefed alot faster then a normal base, Now lets talk about on a towny server, Step one log on a towny server and join a town you need many things before making you're own town so join one for now! Get some wood from a kit or cutt a tree you may want at least 4 stacks for a towny server. Now move on to step 2
Step 2
Now you need to find a place to claim some land make sure its far out from spawn you will need to claim you're land by using /f claim claim you're land not to much because you need to save some power. now make a house about 10x10 at the max you will want to save some land so if that is not the amount of land you need for a base make it more levels! higher and better because you save land but at the same time you have more space! Now for towny, Find a town and join it when joined take a plot and gather you're wood make a small base if you want to make you'r own town but if you will stay make a fair sized base. plan out the house by making the sides of it then build on to it, now make it look nice not just an empty lame one floor house make it two floors or more! now put some chests and save you'r stuff in there! But if you're going to move and make a house get wood cobble coal iron and building tools pickaxe axe spade these things will really help you. Save you 2 Thousand Dollars more then the amount is to make a town because you need to pay to keep it up! Get some players and keep on the claiming and growing!
Step 3
Now that you're this far in factions you need some people get at least 2 people no more make sure you trust them a brother sister friend and so on. Get iron no gold or diamonds that is to far down you need the basic items for armor tools and so on! gather the amount you think will work out! take the cobble coal iron ect.. up and smelt the iron to ingots and make it whatever you want i think making armor and a sword fist will help you out alot more then other tools! Well lets to to towny now we ended the joining a town so now you need to read the mayor part lol. Ok so you have made you're town you want to make it grow so advertising it on the chat and on the server website works and here is a tip if there are new players do /t or /town add (there name) and you should have them in no time! but this doesn't always work so wont say it works all the time because it doesn't and that is life so.
