Welcome to part two of my HTBANLTH (Name way too long, link in case you missed part 1, www.planetminecraft.com/blog/how-to-make-a-nice-traditional-home/). In the last part we did basically all that you can see from the front face of the building. This time we will be doing the sides and possibly the back, if I feel the blog is getting too long I will stop and make a part 3.
Anyways, let's get done to business. I will first make a plain wall using some techniques to make it not super plain and then we will add onto it.
Here is a much less plain and boring wall with a balcony on top and don't worry about the other roof, we'll get to that next. Notice the different colors that all go well together and the diagonal wall. Diagonals may look weird with two much of one but here it looks okay.
Here is the tricky part getting to tie it in with the roof, remember sometimes you have to be creative and sometimes go a little crazy to make something look nice but remember you'll always be able to pull it off. Also, don't be discouraged by the amount of time you take making a build it gets easier and easier every time you build in that style and it will be worth the wait at the end. (Ramble much I know, sorry)
That wasn't actually as hard as I thought it would be. Anyway, about the roof notice how the roof doesn't actually start at the same spot on both sides and it still looks good and will give you more space on the interior. However don't do that too much otherwise it will look weird. Notice the detail in the roof also with the small windows breaking up the wall. Now to do the wall to the right of the balcony.
Notice the stairs underneath the window used to add depth and also the consistency within the build if you decide to change something, change everything with that pattern. Also, notice how I didn't leave the balcony just sticking out, but instead there is something behind it so it doesn't just stick out. Next is the back and side of the house. Also, sorry, but I am combining multiple steps to cut on the length and keep your interest, but will point out new ideas and details.
Again with following the patterns with the roof and the wood underneath the windows. Also, the change in height and the distance from the main wall.
Part three will be working on the interior or maybe the exterior like landscaping and that sort of stuff which adds a lot more to a building than you think.
