Step 1. (If in survival) get an axe. If in creative, then the axe is not needed.

Step 2. Start chopping at the log (log only)

Step 3. Make sure you get the entire log, and there aren't any other logs nearby.

The leaves will then start to deteriorate and disappear.

Poppy Reel!!! <3 <3 <3 Thank You GoldenGlider for the Pic!!!

True, but this is a tutorial for survival. You're not meant to have access to commands, BUT IF YOU DO, THE FILL COMMAND IS BEST. ;)

...So you manually chop down each tree? Was kinda expecting a guide on a method that didn't involve literally removing each tree by hand but okay.

Yeahhh... but it's a lot more controlled than fires and it's less laggy.

The easiest way to remove forests is to not look at them, just turn around and run away as fast as possible.

The easiest way to remove forests is to...
I dunno.
Enable cheats and tinker with /fill commands?
Be careful, though, I've messed with /fill once in a Survival world (Before I learned how EASY /fill is to use in Creative), well... let's just say there was a massive squared hole in a forest... for a LOOONG time.

And that's why you shouldn't get confused on coordinates.

It used to frustrate me on the early days on Minecraft PE, when you had to type in a command to show where you were (/tp ~ ~ ~)

Now it's easier, but I still mess up sometimes xD
this needs to get on popreel
