Minecraft is a game all about imagination... you can create anything you want- the possibilities are unlimited !! Okay, so I just want to start off with this: there is no right or wrong way to build in Minecraft but there are techniques that popular builders use in their builds to make them more attractive. One of the most important things about building in Minecraft is that it's really, really, REALLY
important to find your own style. Here are a few tips on how to do just that:
Tip #1: Practice & Patience : First off, the most important thing to know while trying to find your style is that you won't find your style over night. Remember, you could make the most epic build in minecraft but still not have it unique. I suggest you don't try to make your personal style to match ubiquitous styles found all over PMC such as Pandora's Blocks™ (<--- Only they can pull off their style) or just minimalistic modern. Before you even think about picking a style think: what suites my personality best ? Next, once you consider your personality find something that you consider 'cute' or 'pleasant' and stick to it !!
Tip #2: Phases of styles : Back when I was still experimenting with styles I went through many phases. First, I went through a very 'chalky' style, I didn't use enough depth were it was needed and had an extremely limited block pallette. Next, I went through what I call my 'sphere' phase... I was in love with building structures with spheres... spheres everywhere. Many builds from this phase actually turned out looking pretty good but it got to the point I spammed the spheres and kept scrapping builds. This lead to my 'everything has to be overdetailed' phase... I almost NEVER finished a build during this phase and referred to most of my builds as 'bad' or 'ugly' (<--- The WORST thing a builder could EVER do). Finally, I found the style I'm happy with ( the style I use today !).
(To see some builds from these phases just look at my post 'Random Scraps & Builds'.)
Tip #3: The MOST unqiue style : The reason some of the most popular builders who play the game such as Circleight and Schnogot are so great is because their style is amazingly unique ! In order to make a unique style you must think, "who do I want to be as a builder ?". Once you figure that out, you can start making your first build. Your first build is often the most important, it opens your pathway to future build and really represents you as a builder and what you can possibally do in the future. I remember my first build, it was called 'Vas Ron'... not a very good build but it was probably my key to sucess.
I tried to guide you through the basic thought process behind finding your own style, I can't give you a style but I can help you search for one; if you have any questions about this tutorial I'll happily answer them, just post in the comments section below.
Thanks, Baci

In all seriousness, good blog. I'm sorry you have no more than two diamonds. I think you deserve more, my friend.
