Sorry for the completely overused topic, but you know what, it's an important topic. And important topics deserve to be overused... Because they are important .... OKAY, so! Gather round Lovies! I'm going to tell you some pretty important stuff so put on your listening hat.
STEP ONE
Do not and I mean DO NOT ask people to subscribe to you or check out your stuff, because yes, they probably will check out your stuff. But that just makes them not want to subscribe because you seem unprofessional. And what do you need to be to get subscribers? PROFESSIONAL....... Most of the time. Well, you know what, be as non-professional as you want, but just don't be rude. Because that's rude. Anyways, if you want someone to look at your stuff, leave a nice comment on their work, like, "This looks like $#!+" I'm just kidding! Say something like, "Hey nice work, bro!" If you say something nice like that, there is a chance they will look at your crap and possibly subscribe. So keep that in mind!
STEP TWO
I'm sure you are completely aware of this, and I know, I should shut up right now, but hey, you click on the blog, you read the crap alright. Anyways, even though you have heard this a million times, it's important! Here it is~~~
PUT WORK INTO YOUR $#!+ ALRIGHT.
Spend TIME on it. And when I say time I mean like... "Oh my gosh why am I doing this I could be watching T.V. right now" kind of time. Alright? You're SUPPOSED to feel like you want to be doing something else! Well... If you work real hard on it. :) If you make a submission that you didn't spend much time on, hey, it's alright! Probably no one is gonna unsubscribe or anything like that, but you probably wont get many subscribers, and this is a blog about gaining subscribers, not.... how not ...to... lose them.
STEP THREE
Make sure you are with the community alot! And I mean checking out other people's crap, going to the chat rooms, commenting, participating in groups and compititions, stuff like that! If people see your name around, they will probably check you out! Also, you don't have to, but I think it's nice if you reply to the comments on your posts. It just makes you seem more nice I guess. c: I personally usually only subscribe to people when they reply to comments, but that's just me, and I'm picky. XD

Remember, subscribers are not things, they are people. (You don't say) Yes, I know, it's obvious. But let me tell you why I'm saying it. Because you have to remember each one is an actual person like you, and you shouldn't think of them as subscribers, but as people subscribed to you ..... That sentence sounded really dumb. What I'm trying to say is that your subscriber number is not the same as your rank bar, and it's your responsibility to treat it that way. It does not grow by your posts, or update logs, or things like that. It grows by YOU, and how you reach out to the community.
