This article is the first in a series I will do about building amazing things. The names of the articles will be:

I hope you enjoy them as much I will enjoy writing them.
Obviously, before you build, you will need inspiration. Inspiration is found in everything - you just have to look for it! Go for a walk today. Look at the buildings around you. Imagine what they would look like in Minecraft. What features could you add? How could you make them better? What would really impress people?
Still stumped?
Think of your interests. Don't be a pessimist here - think of something you really like other than gaming. If you have no computer, what would you be doing right now? Pick your best interest - for me, it's horses - and write it down. Now think of things that have to do with it. It doesn't have to directly have to do with it.
When Henry Ford asked people what they wanted, they wanted faster horses. He couldn't give them faster horses, so he gave them cars. So think a little, maybe for a couple days.
For me, something that has to do with horses that I can build is a horse stable. Now, I could make a big wooden box, stick some pigs with saddles in it, and call it a day. But I want to make something truly amazing. So I'm going to add a shower for the horses/pigs, automatic piston doors, a chandelier, and an arena to ride the horses/pigs in. What else could you add to your building? Make it unique. You can take ideas from other people, but try to make it your own. Even if you are a natural pessimist, throw away that personality and find your inner artist. You can do it! With a little patience, you will know exactly what to build and never get bored! Plus, sometimes you don't even need inspiration. Just pick a block and start building, then see what it becomes.
