EDIT: There are a few more tips, and if you have anything you think I should add, please comment!
Hey guys. Before I start this hopefully helpful article, the picture is what LB Photo Realism is at right now. Ridiculous. Not to crush any hopes and dreams, but to make this clear: THIS ARTICLE WILL NOT GIVE YOU THAT MANY VIEWS!!! You have to do that for yourself :) I'm simply going to be giving you tips on how to get more views, downloads, diamonds, etc. If you are kind of a noob, this is for you. If you're a decent creator above level 9 or 10, stay tuned. You might learn something. Level 50, go home. Here are your tips:
Step 1: Post worth-wile stuff.
If you're about to post your texture pack, and all you edited was the stone, don't do it. If you're posting a blog, make sure people can read it. We've all seen the Herobrine skin, and OcD replicas are just a waste of time, and don't really belong here on PMC.
Step 2: Post a wide variety of stuff.
Unless you strike really lucky and do a one-hit-wonder texture pack, you need to post a variety of stuff. Even if you only have a little bit of everything, it covers more interests, and gets you more views. Try your hand at Textures, skins, mods, everything. It pays off.
Step 3: Post lots of stuff.
Take your time and do quality work, but the more stuff you have on here, the more XP you'll gain, the more you'll be respected, and the more people will check out your posts.
Step 4: Be nice.
Constructive criticism is fine, but don't be a total downer. Even if people are jerks, be nice. You'll make friends, and more opportunities to do projects will come up, and people will want to help you out more.
Step 5: Update.
Whether they're big or small changes, things like texture packs, projects, and blogs should be constantly updated. This keeps your content fresh, and gets your post out to more viewers.
Step 6: Tags.
This is really one of the most important things. When you're editing your post, there will be a little box down near the bottom of the page that says Tags/Keywords. Basically, you just put any word in that associates with your post so that people can find it easier. Try to put in every word you think somebody might put into the search when looking for your post, you want to have at least the name in there, with all the words separated by commas.
Step 7: Pics and Video.
This mainly applies to projects, textures, and mods. You've probably heard the term "no pics, no clicks." All this means is that people want to see what they're getting before they potentially waste their time on an awful texture, faulty mod, etc. One big thing I've seen plenty of times is screenshots taken with a camera. Try F2. Please. Get as many images as you can, and a video is also a big plus. If you can't do a video yourself, look around for someone to do it for you. +Brindeelow did a review for my texture pack, Paste, and I'm sure he would do something for you as well if you asked.
Thankyou for reading, and good luck on getting those views!
