ok so for this tutorial i will be showing you how to instal the aether for minecraft 1.4 or more.

below you will find all the links to the mods needed for the aether. you must use these links because they are the correct version of the files the new versions of them will not work. if you have any problems cheack the FAQ and if it dosnt help please comment.

ok so first thing is download all the files below.

once you have done that go to %appdata% and open your .minecraft folder.

then from there delete your minecraft.jar

now paste the one you downloaded in and rename it to minecraft.jar.

once you have done that open all the winrar or zip folders you have downloaded.

next open the minecraft.jar and delete the meta in folder that is within it.

now 1 by 1 drag all the mods over except the aether mod.

for the aether mod part of it you will need to open the folder within call jar and drag and drop all that into you minecraft.jar and then close the minecraft.jar now open the .minecraft folder again and open resources.

now open the aether mod again and open resources and drag the folder called mod into the other resources folder.

now close everything and open minecraft and login.

once you log in you should see a new menu and it should say loading world before that comes up.

FAQ:
1. the screen goes black when my game opens?
A. you must delete the Meta inf folder from minecraft.jar

2. do i need all of these mods?
A. yes you need them to make shore the mod works properly.

3. my sound isn't working?
A. you need a different version of audio mod go to there forum to get it.
