Hey doods Jman here and today I will be writing on how to make a good project
- The Build it self
Pretty much self explanatory but what this means is make sure the build is good. Whether it is a Survival games arena or a modern house, it has to be good. A lot of "builders" either go with the same old style or just don't even try. The best way to get xp in PMC is projects. Try to use your own building style or technique. Try using blocks that don't get used often in a creative way to make your build original. Now, some people make big builds and small builds but that is up to you. Many people get xp fast from making small modern houses or spawns, but others make big builds that take a long time and a team of builders. If you are making an adventure map, you need to make a story line. If you want people to play this you need to write in description or in-game books that have a fictional story that the player can follow along as they play.
- How you present it
So an average PMC member will give you a diamond or favorite based on how you present it. You need to make it look good at a first glance. The best way to do that is to take your screenshots or builds with shaders. There are plenty of shaders packs out there but they all are practically the same thing but that is up to you. Some shaders mods include glare or shadows and you can use those depending on your build and how you want it displayed. Another tip is making the video with music. Try adding chillstep or something that goes with the mood of the build. Another good way is having youtubers do a spotlight or lets play with your map to show in first person. Also GIVE CREDIT TO ALL BUILDERS. Provide links to Youtube channels or deviantART to ALL contributors. That shows that you did it with multiple people and building styles and makes it look professional.
- Feedback
This is the most important thing of your project. There may be a flaw or mishap-pen and you may not notice it. So make sure to put in the description "Put feedback in the comments". People that give feedback can also make suggestions that can change the map altogether. But don't worry. They don't hate it, they are just suggesting some thing to make it better. Every good builder must be open to feedback.
- Getting the word out
So to get it on the pop reel isn't too hard. Basically you have to get enough diamonds and xp in a certain amount of time after posted. This can majorly boost how much xp you can get but isn't easy and doesn't happen always. Another good way to spread your work is to get it on servers. Owners of servers will usually say "Made by YoloSweggins2013" (or whoever)
- Tips on how to build it
So a big issue it "How do I build it and what can I use to build it?" Well there is a solution.
Custom trees are big because no one likes same old trees
This should help www.planetminecraft.com/project/native-trees-of-europe-template-repository-1779952/

Another program called NBTEdit lets you change ingame setting such as time and whether easily www.minecraftforum.net/topic/6661-nbtedit/
- Name
To go with your build, you need an interesting name. Make sure that the name goes with what you built or the name of your team. Don't name it something simple like "parkour map" or "castle" Have a name with interesting words or even make your own word up.
- Credits
Make sure that you credit to ALL CONTRIBUTERS. Whether it was installng a shader mod, recording footage, terraforming, or even just coming up with the idea, you still need to give credit. Make sure to link YouTube channels, Twitter, FaceBook, DeviantART and more. Also write what it was inspired from.
So thats how you make a good project on PMC and get lots of xp
Summary
- Make sure the build is good and fits your style and has originality
- Present it with shaders or youtube videos and well took screenshots to lure viewers
- Ask for feedback and update your project based on it
- Use tools such as MCedit or SinglePlayerCommands to help make the terrain for your builds
