If you have any questions about the following, feel free to email me at (adamhrminecraft226@gmail.com)! Please do not spam, and I will try to answer all questions accordingly.

About me:

My Minecraft username is pankake12345. When I was young, I always wanted to become a Staff member, but I was not mature enough. Now, I am 14, and I don't remember the last time an application of mine was denied by a server.

Introduction:

Before you start reading this, know that just by following these steps does not guarantee that you will be accepted as a Staff member. Yes, having a great application helps a lot, but what it comes down to is if you are loyal to the server, mature enough, etc. Also, I am not saying that all these things are absolutely what you have to do. This is my opinion on applications, and I have been extremely successful using this. That being said, let's learn how to make a good Staff application!

Step 1: Knowing what can happen.

If you go into your application thinking that you will be accepted no matter what, think again. You never know what the person in charge thinks of your application. That being said, it is also not good to make an application thinking that you have no chance of being accepted. If you think this, why would you make this application? Have faith in yourself. If they deny your application, who cares? It's just Minecraft! Now, don't get me wrong, getting your application denied sucks, but hey, that's life.

Step 2: Be honest.

Many servers will ask you if you have had experience of being a Staff member. If you haven't, you gotta start from somewhere, right? Just because you have not had any experience being a Staff member on a server doesn't mean that you would make a bad Staff member. If it's not your first time being a Staff member, state the highest rank that you got, and also state that you will tell the person in charge what servers they were on if they would like. Do this because some Owners get mad when you state other servers because this can be considered advertising. Now, let's say you lie about being Staff on a bunch of different servers. If/when the Owner finds out, you're pretty much toast (unless the Owner decides to be extremely nice) and you will probably be demoted out of Staff.

Step 3: Quality > Quantity.

In my opinion, if you just fill in a bunch of nonsense into your application that doesn't really help your case, that is a really bad thing. If you think that a sentence or two will help help you a lot with your chances, so be it. Never put in stuff that is not needed just to fill up space. As stated in Step 2: Be Honest, don't lie about things. Don't say you've been on the server for 5 months if you just joined. However, this does not mean fill in minimum. If you think you have to say 3 paragraphs for 1 question, then do it! Never scrap things that are needed.

Step 4: Grammar and Spelling.

This is a HUGE part of your application. Even though it might not seem like it, grammar and spelling can make or break your application. If I see a person who has about 20 spelling errors and has terrible grammar, that shows me that this person is not old enough to be Staff. Now, I understand that not everyone can do this, especiallyyounger people. If you have trouble communicating things or spelling something, ask your parents or an older sibling for help. If you misspell a word, it will show up in with a red line under the word. Right click the word that is underlined, and look at the other options it gives you.

Step 5: Sucking up doesn't get you anywhere.

Sucking up does not help you at all in your application. If you do not know what this is, some examples are, "Oh yeah and I love the Owner!!!!", or "THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST SERVER I HAVE EVER BEEN ON IT'S AMAZING". Server Owners see this as you trying to flatter them, thus helping your chances of getting accepted. Sure, they appreciate the compliment, but this won't help you. Show that you love the server/the Owner by helping out players, getting friends on, etc.

Step 6: Double checking your work.

After you have completed your application, read it over again. Make sure that you are answering each question to it's full extent and you are not forgetting anything. Some ways to title you application is "'s Staff application." This is usually how I title mine. If you can think of something more creative, go ahead!

This concludes this post, don't forget to email me at (adamhrmiencraft226@gmail.com) if you have any more questions regarding this. Check this frequently as I will be updating it if I forget anything or fixing any errors. Also, I would like to say thank you to CameronBrandtas his post about making a successful server inspired me to make this (for some reason lol). If I get enough diamonds/like/whatever, I will make another blog post on how to be a good Staff member. Feel free to leave any comments below about this, and thank you for reading! I hope this helped you and good luck with your applications!
