Ever want to make a map of your Minecraft world from above? I never really did until I actually did it. It’s pretty cool. You notice all kinds of things you didn’t before. I never would have guessed that the “island” behind the “island” I live on is actually the same one.
Whether you want to or not it’s blazingly simple. The easiest way I’ve found to do it is with Minetographer:.
It’s cross platform and GUI and very simple to use. You can customize a bunch of settings and then view it in your browser. Be prepared for a decent length render time depending on the size of your world.
There are sample of what it looks like (from one of my maps):
but in the real thing you can zoom in and out and scroll around.
