In this post I will show you how to make a world out of any block! This doesnt work with items (swords etc) becuase I tried it with a milk bucket and it just reset to grass and dirt.
Create a new world and go to 'Superflat' then click on customise. Click on presets and go to the Water World setting; at the top you should see a black bar with white text that says something along the lines of:
'3;minecraft:bedrock,5*minecraft:stone,5*minecraft:dirt,5*minecraft:sand,90*minecraft:water;24;oceanmonument,biome_1'
Erase the text up to 3;minecraft:bedrock, and type in after the comma @90*minecraft:diamond_block,
If you click use preset it should show a diamond block with bedrock underneath, if you create the world it will be diamond blocks.
--NOTE-- You can replace minecraft:diamond_block, with any block e.g. minecraft:glass, or minecraft:stone.
Glass World Diamond World
