Hey guys! This is my third tutorial on PMC! Woo! It's not that big of an achivement I know, but oh well. Let's get on with it.
Today, we'll be making an Automatic Chicken Farm!
These are really cool, and it saves some time, but it's also costly in survival!
So, follow these easy steps and you'll soon have an amazing Chicken Farm!
Things you will need:
1 Chest
4 Torches
Lots of Hoppers
Building Blocks of your choice
Steps:
1) Get a nice flat piece of land, big enough for the area you want.

2) Dig out a hold in the ground, for this, I did a 10 long by 5 wide hole, make sure the width is an odd number, you'll see why soon.

2b) The middle block on the width, dig down two.
3) Now I dug round the hole one block out, and replaced the blocks with Stone Brick. You don't have to use Stone Brick, or dig it out, but I think it looks quite nice.

4) From the edge, dig back two blocks.

5) Now, dig down down two blocks like this. Make sure it's next to the two you dug down in step 2a.

6) Place a Chest at the bottom of the hole, then hold Shift and place a Hopper on top of the Chest. Make sure the pipe is facing the Chest.

7) Now place a Hopper on top of that Hopper by holding Shift. Again, make sure the pipe is heading into the Hopper.

8) Now comes the tricky part. Hold Shift and place Hoppers facing into the middle Hopper. You need to hold Shift to place Hoppers on other Hoppers, and make sure when you set them up, they all make it to the center (they can run into other Hoppers which run into the center)

9) This is when it is set up.

10) Make a wall around the Hoppers. I like to use Glass, Oak Logs, and Stone Bricks. The Glass gives it light, the Oak Logs go for corner stands, and the Stone Brick looks quite nice.

11) Next, place a roof on the structure.

12) Place Torches, one in each corner, by holding Shift.

13) Make a hole big enough for the Chickens to get in (also fill in the gap we made in step 4)

14) Get the Chickens inside, and close the gap, this way, they can't escape.

Soon the machine will start spewing eggs into the Chest, if you run out of space in a single, make room for a double!
