In this blog, I'll show you how to make coloured item names in Minecraft without using any external programs such as NBTEdit or NBTExplorer.
Requirements:
Minecraft 1.8 or higher
A browser
Need to be OP'd on the server (if on a server)
Step 1: Visit http://ezekielelin.com/give/ and fill it out something like this:
You can use color codes like (&6,&8,&7) etc. This is a list of them:
For Example, I named it: &6Epic &3Diamond &cSword
Step 2: Copy the command below on the webpage after the '/' and then visit http://mclabs15.eu5.org/colortext.html and paste it in the popup box. Press OK and it will give you a command.
Step 3. Open Minecraft and paste it in a command block and power it. (If you are on a server, you need operator rights) It will place a sign named 'Click me'. Stand on the command block and right click the sign. It will update the command block. Power it again and it will give you the sword with the coloured name like this:
