HOW TO MAKE FRIENDS IN MINECRAFT.
Hey there, my name is Crane, and I feel like some people REALLY need this blog.
Since the dawn of Minecraft servers, there have been people that really need some education in server etiquette. Usually, these players are new to Minecraft, and they have no idea how they should act on a server, much less with other people. Therefore, I feel I must educate these players, so that they can create new friends on these servers, and decrease the number of enemies they would otherwise have.
So, here are some tips on what you SHOULD do on a minecraft server:
1. Be Polite.
No one likes a rude, ignorant bigot who yells whenever they get killed, or when something doesn't go their way they decide to make things hard for other people. Try to be courteous to other people, maybe help others out here and there. You'd be surprised at what an impact this has on other people. If you're nice to them, they'll be nice to you.
Unless they are ignorant bigots, then just ignore them and be done with it.
2. Try using grammar, maybe?
if ppl typd lik dis all teh tiem, dey seme abit dum. Try to make yourself look intelligent, like maybe you have a brain, unlike most people. Show them that you CAN make rational decisions, or that you look like you could.
3. Be friendly!
If you've been on a server for awhile, welcome other people to it. First impressions are massive to whether or not people like you. Try to chat with other players, be nice, PARTICIPATE. This isn't single player. Go be social!
Here are some tips on what you SHOULD NOT do on a minecraft server.
1. Never, EVER, ask for OP.
This is what makes people hate you. Everyone, on every server, ever, hates these kind of people. They are annoying, and persistent. Whenever these people arrive on a server I'm on, I make it a personal challenge to murder them slowly. Don't get me wrong, I try to be friendly, but most of the time, these ones aren't worthy of my time.
2. Language, please.
If you swear every sentence, or yell obscenities all the time, no one really will want to talk to you. It's funny a bit here and there, but tone it down a bit, please. It gets ridiculous after a while and other players begin to get really annoyed.
