How to make simple yet awesome mountains or hills [MAP MAKING TRICK]

Ever wondered how those people make such epic mountains well this will answer your question,this secret trick is used by many mapmakers.THINGS YOU'RE GOING TO NEED:
Minecraft [duh]

Mcedit

STEP 1
Go on to a new world or a world you already made go to the area where you want your mountain or hill then leave the world.

STEP 2
Go onto mcedit and load up the world you were last on on mcedit.

STEP 3
Use the brush tool and select sand and make sure its round.

STEP 4
Place the sand ball is within the air, you can make as many sand balls as you want.

STEP 5
Save and quit mc-edit.

STEP 6
Go to your world and destroy a single block from the sand balls.

STEP 7
Once the sand has finished falling you can configure it if you want if it doesn't look right then close your world and repeat step 2.

STEP 8
Select the sand mountain or hill then use the filter tool and select the filter topsoil, you can then select the block you want as top soil and change the dehp of it then click filter and your done :D.

I prefer using worldpainter to create mountains. If you are skilled enough, you could probably make an entire mountain range in several minutes.

Although what you said is quite true but this method is quicker than building mountains on your own with no mcedit or others

I don't remember it exactly, but I used it to terraform my server. It had to do with brushing in spheres too, but there was a smooth brush too, I think. Anyway, I don't remember having to quit a bunch.
