hello mcw is going to teach you how to make your own texture pack
1: download 7-zip
2: open minecraft.jar
3: copy all thats in minecraft.jar into a map where you can find it easy back
4: open the map where you paste all whats in minecraft.jar
5: delete all .class files not anything else
6: download paint.net
7: install paint.net
8: go to a .png image and press the right mouse butten and click open with paint.net
9: edit something you want
10: make a new folder called lolwut or something
11: put all you the folders with the .png images into lolwut
12: paste that into texturepacks
13: the folder where you maked your own texture pack and paste that folder in texturepacks
14: this is the most inportant: have fun

note: you can use paint too but with paint.net are you allowed to paint in blocks
