Well, to the picture, I am back. I read a fantastic blog about lag last week, that describes the differences between Client and Server lag. Well, Today I will give you a detail blog on how to fix client-side lag. (You can not do anything about server-side lag unless you are the owner).
Right Click your taskbar. Just a FYI, I am using Windows 8. This will work with Windows 7 too, I believe.
This is what it will look like:

And yes, if you are curious, I am writing this blog as I take pictures. The webpage open is PMC, to this blog. Blogception?
Anyways, click on Task Manager. Once that is done, either you will see this little guy:

Or this Big guy:

Now, if you are seeing the smaller variant (That is default) you need to click that button on the bottom right that says "/ More details" and you will see the larger variant. Now, go to startup:

Now, you should see alot of apps, some apps that you did not even know you had. Look at the "Startup Impact" And find one that is high, I will be using Drop Box as an example. Dropbox can be disabled because I do not need to use it all the time, and I can just start it up when I need it. But for example, HP Coolsense needs to be on because it will keep my computer cool. Even though it has a high impact, it needs to be on. Please use your own judgement on this.

Now click "Disable". Now you are done! Do this to all of the apps that you see fit, and your computer should run better now! Have a nice day!

Second Step, and Last Step.
Anyways, once you find the app that is useless at startup and uses high amount of disk/ram, right click it.
Now click "Disable". Now you are done! Do this to all of the apps that you see fit, and your computer should run better now! Have a nice day!
