Hello everybody, today I will be showing you how to play Hardcore mode safely.

1. Trees.
When playing Hardcore mode, the best choice is to play with your friends, about 2-4 friends. In the first day, if you spawn where there's lots of trees, you are good. But if you spawn in an open desert with no trees or resources, you would probably want to start a new world. The best place to start punching trees is a forest, the most safest tree-filled biome, ask your friends to start punching wood too and make sure there are no caves nearby. If there's a cave nearby, you would want to have someone watching it or find another spot. If you are not watching the cave, you would probably blew up sometime.

2. Resources.
The most important resource other than wood and stone, is coal. You can either choose to smelt wood and create charcoal or find some coal. If you have no choice, it's better to make some charcoal. Make sure you also have 32 cobblestones to create items and furniture.

3. Shelter.
Finding a perfect spot for a shelter is not that hard, locate extreme hills and dig in the mountains from the side, make sure there are no dark areas in your shelter or nearby, if you want to be even more safer, consider lighting in front of your shelter as well. To skip the dangerous wild night time, you better find some sheep. Sleeping and skipping the night is a good thing to do in Hardcore, unless you hated your Hardcore world and you don't care dying.

4. Mining.
THIS PART IS QUITE LONG, IF YOU REALLY HATE READING YOU BETTER FIND ANOTHER THING TO DO.

a. Safety
Safety while mining is the number 1 priority. You don't want to die having lots of expensive stuff.

#1: While mining, always lit up EVERYTHING that is dark.
#2: Even though you already lit up everything, always look behind you every few seconds, you don't want a creeper to explode right behind you. If you're playing with a friend, it's even better. You take turns in checking your six o'clock.
#3: Locating Dangerous Areas: To locate these areas, and not get inside them, make sure to use a headset and find zombie sounds or spider sounds, (these are the loudest in the hostile mobs). Also watch out for lava sounds.
#4: Lava: Consider bringing a water bucket with you. If you locate redstone immedietly place some water while you're mining. Redstone are usually close to lava.

b. Conserving Resources.
It's very hard to find wood in the mines, the only way possible is through abandoned mineshafts.

#1: Usually, when you mine long enough, at some time your inventory gets full. You would easily solve this problem by creating a chest. But REMEMBER you have LIMITED wood. No chests? You can use furnaces! and there's stone all around you.
#2: Alternative to furnaces, is a simple way, don't get your ores yet! Just leave them and mine them when you are on the way home, it's also safer than to die with almost all valuables with you.

#3: In the mines, don't EVER EVER EVER create a wooden tool. Always have cobblestone in your inventory and at least 1 functional stone pickaxe.
#4: Only create 1 iron pickaxe which is to get valuable items. To mine stone, coal, iron or anything else just use a stone pickaxe because stone is everywhere.

c. Getting Diamonds
The most valuable thing in Minecraft.

#1. When you've found diamonds, locate every single of them and mine out the top, sides and bottom and make sure no stone is touching it. (this way you know your diamond is completely safe)

5. Hunting for hostile mobs.
Make sure you have a full set of iron armor and at least an iron sword for good protection. A diamond sword is better but I prefer iron for weapons. When encountering a creeper, hit and fall back until the point where he is not hissing anymore and then hit him again. Repeat this until you've killed the creeper. When encountering a skeleton, run in zig-zags while approacing him.
Remember, zombies are very strong and hard to beat when there are lots of them.

6. Surviving.
The most important thing in Hardcore mode is safeness, you better stay in a easily defendable shelter rather than a huge diamond castle. Remember, this is not survival nor creative. Also don't act like a hero or a coward. Be normal, only kill monsters when you need to not when you want to.

NOW YOU ARE READY TO FACE THE HARDCORE WORLD OF MINECRAFT!
