Most people start Hypixel SkyBlock and have no idea what to do. This series of posts is intended to fix that. This is the sixth of a tutorial series for Hypixel SkyBlock to take you from punching your first log on SkyBlock to killing your first dragon. These posts are going to be laid out in four sections. 1: The introduction; 2: The body of the post; 3: The summary and conclusion; 4: The YouTube video. Each of these posts will be released after every SkyBlock video released on my channel, so every 1-2 weeks. With that over, let’s get into it!

Today we will be going over mining a little more, as last time we got as far as the Pigmen’s Den. Today, we will craft minions for each resource type, venture to every section of the mines, and obtain a compactor from the Lapis Miner. The entrance to the fourth section, the Slime Hill, is at the back of the Pigmen’s Den at these coordinates: -3/99/3.

The Slime Hill contains Slime and emeralds. Once you have enough emeralds for the minion, we can move on to the Diamond Reserve. If you want to get the Slime minion, be my guest. However, with the current armor set that I have (Lapis Armor), I can’t obtain that right now. Anyway, the Diamond Reserve is behind where the giant Slime spawns at these coordinates: -12/63/-9. I don’t recommend mining the diamonds in-between the Slime Hill and the Diamond Reserve, as they seem to be few and far between. Instead, I’m going to take you to the Obsidian Sanctuary.

To get to the Obsidian Sanctuary, head left from the Lift Master and avoid the mobs since they can two-shot you. Once you have mined enough diamonds, leave. Just leave. Save obsidian for when you reach combat 12 because then you can head to the End and mine obsidian with less risk. We will now go to the Lapis Miner, who is at the back of the Lapis Quarry at these coordinates: -54/121/41. He will ask you for an iron pickaxe, and in return, he will give you a compactor. Now you are done with the Deep Caverns forever (well, at least until you want to either grind for a creeper minion, a slime minion, or Slayer quests – all of which I will be doing later).

Now, I recommend that you head back to your island and place down as many of the minions as you can, and put the compactor in the Redstone minion. What it will do is turn the Redstone that it produces into blocks. However, it will need at least two slots for this, so you can either mine the rest of the Redstone or buy it from the Bazaar. Your choice.

That’s it for this blog! In the next one, you will learn about the combat skill. If you liked this, leave a diamond on top, and if you want, watch the video below, subscribe to my YouTube channel, and leave a like. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
