How to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse!
I have made a list of things that would be imperative to survival during a zombie apocalypse, and then explained it with minecraft pictures. Enjoy!
Rumors of the Apocalypse
Tip #1 - Grab some sort of weapon
At this point a blunt tool will work (e.g. a shovel). This can be used to clobber a zombie if the virus spreads to your area quicker than you expected.
Tip #2 - Stash as much food within your house as possible
You want to get the food before the panic spreads, so go in and buy as much as possible, as early as possible. This will be a buffer for before you plant a garden (which we will do in a few steps).
The Virus has Spread to your Country
Tip #3 - Buy weapons, traps, and barricades
These are quite simply so you have extra protection from the zombies.
Tip #4 - Build a garden
Although this looks a bit pointless, this is quite an important step. Building a garden is important because you have your own private (and safe) food production. As you can imagine this is far safer than ransacking shops. Also, a garden might help you stay sane, and give you something to do.
The Virus has Spread to your Area or City
Tip #5 - Build some sort of escape route from your house
This is a small cave that I built underneath my house, it is where I would run to if something happened on the surface and it was no longer safe. (Also make sure you don't use normal torches, because the smoke would fill the cave quite quickly, so redstone/electrical light is preferred).
Also make sure you have stocked up on food down here as well.
You Spot a Zombie
Tip #6 - Keep out of sight or kill it from a distance
This is quite important, because if you are spotted or cause a commotion you are bound to draw more zombies attention.
Extra Scenarios
Scenario #1 - Lots of zombies begin to attack your house
If this where to occur, you should activate all of your traps and attempt to pick them all off as quickly as possible. You could do this with a bow, or if you included TNT in your traps, you can blow them sky high.
Muh ha ha ha ha ha ha, this technique is incredibly effective, and also makes the ditch around your house bigger, creating further difficulty for future zombies, although I had a few minor repairs to do.
