Hello, i notice that you just started a new world in Minecraft Single Player, if you really don't know how to survive your first night i have some good tips for you:
#1 The very first thing you want to do in all Minecraft, its to get Wood, to get good u need to punch down a tree with your own fist, don't worry it won't hurt, keep punching trees until you have around 16+ wood blocks.
Good you just completed Step #1
#2 Open your Inventory with the key "E", and place you Wood blocks on the 2x2 Crafting Squares, and make Wooden Planks, make around 32 wooden planks, then in your Crafting Square, fill it with Wooden Planks, and make a Crafting Bench, put it in your hand and place it on the Ground.
Nice your going good
#3 Right click your Crafting Bench and you'll see that a Crafting Bench will offer you a 3x3 Crafting Square, use Wooden Planks to make Sticks, by putting 2 Wooden Planks on top of each other on The Crafting Bench, make around 8 sticks, place some sticks on the middle block of the crafting bench and the one bellow it, then place 3 Wooden Planks on the 3 tops square, you will be able to craft a Wooden Pickaxe.
Awesome you have your First Tool!
#4 Dig in the ground some dirt until you find grey colored blocks, this is Stone, use your Wooden Pickaxe to mine it, mine around 20 cobble stone blocks, use your Crafting Bench to make a better Pickaxe, use the same patter with the sticks, but instead of using Wooden Planks, place 3 Cobblestone Blocks on the 3 top squares, You will make a Stone Pickaxe, after that, place a stick on the middle lower square in the Crafting Bench and 2 Cobblestone pieces on top of it, one in the middle square and one in the top square, you have make a Sword, after that take your Crafting Bench.
WOW, your are doing amazing Keep Going.
#5 The next thing its to find Coal, Coal its the most common ore in the whole World of Minecraft, you can easily find it in cave systems, or in the side of a mountain, if you don't see any coal need you punch down another tree, DO NOT make the Wood Blocks into Wooden Planks, place your crafting table and fill all the squares with Cobblestone Blocks, then take the middle block out and you will craft a Furnace, place the Furnace and in the top square on the left place the Wood Blocks and in the square below it, place a couple Wooden Planks, it will start cooking the Wood, in the mean time, go look for some Animals.
Nice, the sun its almost down and we are almost done
#6 Look for this animals : Cow,Pig and Sheep. After you find a Pig or Cow kill them with your Sword and you should get either Raw Beef to Raw Porkchops, keep them, after that find at least 3 Sheeps, ( it doesn't matter what color), kill them and get 3 Wool, after that go back to your furnace and get the Charcoal you cooked and pack everything up.
The Sun its down, but it doesn't matter
#7 Fast find a hill and dig in to it, make a nice room and block the entrance, open your Inventory and place a stick on a bottom square and 1 piece of Charcoal on the top and make 4 Torches, place them around your hut, Place your Crafting Bench and Furnace, and right click the Crafting Bench, on the 3 Middle squares place the 3 Wool Blocks, and in the 3 low squares place 3 Wooden Planks, and yoyu will craft a Bed, place it down, and before you go to sleep, use your Furnace, and place the Charcoal you cooke before on the low square and the Raw Porkchop or Raw Beef on top, After Cooked eat it and the right click your Bed, Sleep tight don't let the Bed bugs Bite ;D
