The Introduction
First, I will tell you that I have been working on a server where I have made different ''races''. I'm not really sure if its the right word to use, but since ''species'' is defined by something that these can do, I'll use the first mentioned word. For those of you who doesn't care about looking special on servers, it's still a bit of useful information. Maybe you would like to diggy diggy hole like a dwarf? Maybe you downloaded a custom map based on hobbiton? Whatever it is, it's fun to play with.
The ''races'' I will show you how to do are the following:
-Dwarves
-Hobbits
-Elves
yeah, another note is that I used this skin as a base for them all (made it myself if you're wondering)
Dwarf:
A dwarf skin should look a bit harsh, dirty, and some dull colors. They MUST have beard, but the amount of it is your own choice. Helmet is optional, of course.
Example
For those of you who are less experienced or just too lazy to do it yourself, I've got two alternatives here:
Casual Alternative- Only Beard
Hardcore Alternative- All you need
Hobbit
Like most minecrafters, hobbits live in what you would call a ''dirt house''. Personally I hobbit-ified my own skin, so listen carefully now. Hobbits should not look too fancy, since they are mostly farmers. The most important thing to notice is that they don't use shoes or socks.
Example
Like with the dwarf, I have two alternatives for you. One hardcore and one more casual if you like the skin as it is now.
Only the most characteristic part- the bare feet.
If you want people to more easily recognize you as a hobbit, use this.
Elf
This is the last one, and the easiest to do. They are immortal, so if you happen to be a moderator or something on a server, this would fit you(if you usually use creative mode) Clear, clean colors are recommended.
Example
For those of you who are wondering, I had to put the back of it there too due to the difficulty there is in seeing the back of a flat PNG.file. This is not as unexpected as the dwarves' visit in Bag End, but here are some copy-paste-ables:
Quite simple actually. Some nice 3D ears to put on your skin.
Hair AND ears! To be honest I don't think this hair will be very popular.
That's it! Since I am pretty sure some of you will ask in the comments, I'll put some normal answers down here.
What do ya need???????++
- A painting tool that can handle transparency
- A fully functional brain.
- Some Basic knowledge about skin-making.
Why can't you show meh how to make my skin look liek an orc????
The process is too complicated. Orcs may also vary a lot, so it would be a difficult task. I might explain how to make zombies later though.
Will u sub meh now? I need subbiehs! PLZPLZPLZPLZ!
Nope. I sub when I want to.
I just bought a new minecraft gift code! *Blargh blargh blah blah blah*
