Hi its me with a little tutorial on something. As 1.4.6 has come out in the update log it stated and "Christmas Surprise".
That means that all your chests will look like red christmas presents and your large chests will look like big green presents. If you cant wait until Christmas to do it then ill show you know.
Requirements
Windows.
WinRAR
Minecraft and all the minecraft files.
And I am not sure what happens if you use this with a texture pack so I recommend you dont use a texture pack for this. You have been warned.
Firstly,
Click the start button in the bottom lef corner of your screen. Type %appdata% and click roaming. Then click .minecraft, then click bin. Then right click minecraft.jar file but that will just say minecraft and make sure it just says minecraft
Then right click it and hover over the "open with" and then click WinRAR archiver. Then open the "item" folder that is located where all the folders at the top are. Once you are in the items folder you should see a photo thing called chest.png. Delete that. Then second from the bottom you should see a photo thing called xmaschest.png. Rename that to chest.png and click enter. In the items folder you should see a photo thing called largexmaschest.png but It will probably show up as largexmaschest... Because the name is to long. Well anyway above that there should be a photo thing called largechest.png. Delete that. Then rename the largexmaschest.png as largechest.png.
Then close everything down and open up minecraft and there you go! Your chests are presents! I hope this tutorial has helped you. And no I did not learn this from another tutorial I just know the basic skills about computers.
