So You Need A Name Or Picture?
Well most people seem to have trouble picking names and pictures, whether it be for a User-name, a You tube video, a Skin name and even project and Mod names...
But I'm here to give a helping hand towards this, I'll list what you can do for each situation step by step...
USER-NAMES!
User-names, should not me a random collection of names and numbers, they should be something that mirrors you or is a reflection of you, they need to have some sort of relation to you or something personal to you, this makes it easy to remember and even better when you accomplish something, for example my avatar shows that I'm just your average guy nothing outstanding or excellent, however I do have a creative side and like to bring my drawings (seemingly) to life and make people think they have a connection with me because of that avatar, just because it isn't a picture of: (no offence to anyone using these) Random pictures that may just be funny or amusing and things like Minecraft pictures of chickens and cows...
Now I'm going to use a PMC member as an example if you need to see who they are, search rova in the 'members' section, This person shows in their avatar and signature that they like the show 'mythbusters' this is a personal connection to them, and someone else who likes that show may notice and start up a great conversation with rova...
YOUTUBE VIDEOS!
Seeing as this isn't directly related to PMC in it's self, I'll keep this one short..
When uploading your video you have to make sure it has a name and Thumbnail related to the video, for example if you just put 'epic Minecraft build' you won't get as many views as you would if you specified it, such as 'huge minecraft scale replica of a Beijing Teahouse' That was just an example nothing I've done, But really the main point is it is ALL about presentation, look out there for one of the many good Youtube intro video makers, they do them for free if you subscribe to them!
However if you want a intro of high quality then PM me, But mine aren't free they come at a cost, which is usually about 5-10 GBP depending on their length and complexity...
SKIN, PROJECT AND MOD NAMES
These need to display immaculately what your upload is about and why 'they' (the Public) should download it! Make it big and bright and imposing, stand out from the rest of the uploads! Make something cool that's never been done before! I mean there must be thousands of 'zombie Steve skins' these are not original and won't receive downloads...
However if you make something completely unexpected and cleverly designed the public will love it! As for names again it's all about description! don't make an amazing project that is built on floating islands in the sky surrounded by clouds and a misty ambience, then end up calling it something like 'sky castle' or 'sky tower'
Also always make sure to use things that appeal to the public! for example when everybody posts things about Steve Jobs you may think it's a great memorial that is well deserved, however it isn't it is a constant reminder only submit things that appeal to the publics better side!
