Today I'm bringing you my second redstone tutorial and my first 1.8 tutorial!
So in 1.8 the /replaceitem command was released an it allowes you to change the armour of any entity or player.
It can also be used to place any block on your head or entities head without the use of external tools/mods!
All text in bold is the actual command!
So onto the commands!
First we need the simple /replaceitem command
Then we need to specify the entity that the block will be equiped on
/replaceitem entity @p
Now we need to set the slot in your inventory that the block must be placed in.
/replaceitem entity @p slot.armor.head
Now all we have to do is decide what block to use on your head!
/replaceitem entity @p slot.armor.head diamond_block
Dont want a diamond block on your head?
Just change the diamond_block to any block of your choice!
You can also change who or what the block will be equiped on by changing he @p to @a/@e/@r
