Have you ever joined a hub server? Many players have joined Hub servers, and have played on them. However, today I’m in debate with these servers are a good thing or bad thing MINECRAFT. It is a debate that is dictating the role of MINECRAFT servers today. I openly invite you to give me your pros and cons in regard to hub servers. As it is an interesting topic I shall give you my views, I do play hub servers occasionally, but not Often, and here is why:
The Disadvantages:
Firstly, hub servers have a large amount of players, however, not many of these players know each other, and in fact are very distant from one another, or they only meet other in passing on the server. This can create a very hostile environment on the server, as players are not known to one another, and do not respect each other’s wishes, as they have no clue what they are. This can also create the feeling of loneliness and isolation on the server. As there is no one you can confide with, many players are driven to making false friendships, especially you in games such as hunger games, or the walls.
Secondly, there is a huge brain drain from other servers, and other server types. For example, and admin on a regular faction server may be made a hunger games admin on a hub server. For this admin this is not the ideal purpose and effectively they lose most of their will to get on with their job as it is not what they wish to admin. However, the pressures from the hub server keep on going. What are these pressures you may ask? The first pressure, is the loyalty clause required with most hub servers these days. This loyalty clause means they cannot be staff on another server. Although this is important and key for the owner of the hub server, it is not very ideal for the admin themselves or even a moderator. Also, (this part sickened me!) They can receive threats from other members of staff, if they leave their post resign or temporarily absent they may be permanently banned from the Server.
The Advantages:
There are many Games to play, so you have a Chance to find something you are best at.
