This really seems like endless snow.Every direction you look you will find nothing but snow,dirt,stone and clay.I have not yet traveled that far to see how long it goes on for.
Why don't you take the challenge and see how long it takes you to find green

It doesnt spawn you in snow.

1.8 I later found out that 1.8 doesnt do snow biomes

they do still do snow biomes.I know
