It was from this point on I knew something was wrong… Alex hadn’t come back from her adventure she took three weeks ago. She went chasing some kids who killed her chickens, she was taking them back home to her village. This was unlike her, she was always on time. I knew I had to do something. What if she’s been taken captive by some griefers, wanting to know where she lived? I can’t just leave her to die!

I packed a large bag of all my daily necessities that I would need along the trip. I had a few cobble, food, my diamond tools, and lastly, my armor. I was just leaving when something came to thought, if Alex was being held captive, I should bring stuff to protect her if I, well no, when I break her out. I ran back inside and grabbed some iron armor and tools. Now I can start off on my trip!

I took off in the direction of the kids’ village, Rivermill. Rivermill was a small settlement about 2000 blocks away, so it should only take four days, walking about 500 blocks per day. Alex had 3 kids with her, this would most likely slow her down so it would take about five to six days 300-400 blocks per day. She might stay a couple days, and then make her way home, which would like me talk four days. In total she should only be gone for a maximum of two weeks, and it has been three.

I kept walking, so far, I have covered 300 blocks. This is when I noticed something shiny in the bush, it was a diamond helmet, just like what Alex would always wear. Maybe it was just a coincidence, everyone has diamond gear, but what if it isn’t? What if that is Alex’s helmet? That thought made my heart beat fast, I began to worry even more. I started to walk away from the bush when I looked down and saw that there was something else, a sword. It was a golden sword, with an engraving down the shaft. My heart stopped as I heard a blood curdling scream, I knew that Alex wasn’t okay. I threw the sword in my inventory, and ran towards the scream.

As I was running, I heard something in the trees beside me. I looked, and saw Alex turned around, so all I could see was her ginger hair. I screamed Alex, but she didn’t twitch at all. I ran up to her side, to see if she was okay, but I wasn’t prepared for what I saw next. Two kids from the village were all on the ground, dead.

I turned and looked at Alex, and as I started to glance at her face her eyes opened, but they were not her normal green eyes, they were pure white. I could only think of one thing… Herobrine. I knew that the gods had told us Herobrine was removed from the world, the old dark lord. I couldn’t have an explanation why her eyes would match his. She then said something, I wasn’t expecting it, she said, I am the Lady Herosine. The foliage started to rattle, and a little boy revealed himself, it was the third kid from the village, but his eyes were also pure white. He came in front of Alex/Herosin and bowed, telling her that Lord Herobrine wanted to meet her in their castle. That part took me by storm, their castle. Alex never owned a big fancy castle. I knew then that this wasn’t the Alex I knew anymore, she was gone. I ran behind a tree, and watched where she went, as she dismissed the boy, and started to leave.

Herosine walked for about fifteen minutes before coming to a hole in the ground, she pulled out an object from a sword. It was gold like the one I found as I heard the scream. Herosine then jumped in the hole, but then remembering the sword I had, I pulled it out, and finally read the engraving, Herobrine is here, I am the LORD. No hope for anyone. On the back it had symbols, I couldn’t read them, I wasn’t sure what language they were in.

After walking up to the hole, and only seeing darkness I questioned what I was about to do. Geronimo! I jumped into the whole the same way Alex, I mean Herosine did. The fall seemed instant. My sight was minimal, it was dark and foggy. I felt around, and saw my sword on the ground, I picked it up and instantly the fogginess went away. The castle that was talked about was there, it was so, so… evil. It had the head of pigs, cows, sheep, and villagers surrounding it on pillars. That scared me.

I walked toward the castle, and slowly heard thunder as I came closer. I saw a door toward the left side of the castle, and decided to walk in. There was clapping happening in the castle somewhere, and it got louder the further down the closer I got to a room labeled Throne Room. I walked in as everyone stopped clapping, there was no sign of Alex, but there was a giant sitting in Herosine’s and Herobrine’s throne. Herosine stood and said “I am finally converted; I am no longer in my old body I have formed my new one.”

It was at that moment that I realized it was Alex, only she was wearing a dark leather skin tight dress. She was no longer Alex, she was Herosine, the wife of Herobrine, but I couldn’t take it. I screamed Alex, everyone looked at me. Herobrine instantly rose, shrank and disappeared, I started to back out the door.

I ran into something behind, I turned around to see him… Herobrine standing behind me. He takes me by my neck, and throws me into a pool of blackness, I then understand what happened to my dear friend Alex. I look at the sword, one last time to see that the symbols after the do not had changed. I could read the whole inscribing, it read Do not go near anyone with white eyes, they will turn you like they’ve started to turn me, I am thinking like one of them, I am writing like them, I am them.

It was then I heard Alex’s voice one last time, she said “I tried to warn you, but I guess I was too late”.

I felt something craw from the goo into my eye, it sucked on my Iris, before leaving with blue and black gunk all over it. The pool subsided and I saw a mirror on the wall, my eyes were pure white.
