Drumman (Me): Hello Rako!
Rakovicen: Hey Drumman! :)
D: So Rako, you're starting to become a famous skinner on PMC, can you make a presentation of you, your hobbies?
R: Hm, well. My real name is Reni, i live in Norway. I love to play Minecraft ,Terraria and even COD :)
D: How did you discover PMC?
R: Ah yeah, the first day. My good friend AAmdahl showed me PMC, then first after a few months i began to upload stuff.
D: Why did you decide to share your stuff?
R: I decided to share my stuff to get more feedback, i wanted to get better. I have always kept an eye on Halucid and Sneeze7 for skins, but never got the shading right..
D: What makes you stay on PMC: the content, the community, something else?
R: Well ofcourse; The freedom to upload, to discover new projects etc. Also, the last couple of months i have been alot more known to many users, which has gaven me a certain feeling that i belong here .
D: So now, tell me about your uploads: only skins? Why?
R: Well, let me put it this way: Building isn't my strongest side, i have never been a fan of building huge stuff, cause i am not that skilled.
D: Let's talk about your skins then: what was your first, why did you do it?
R: Wow, my first skin.. I have not uploaded it though, but it was a walking banana. Why i did it you say? Well the answer is that i have always been a huge fan to bananas in pyjamas. This was of course a long time ago, so that was when i used noise instead of shading it, and actually made it quite simple.
D: Where come from the inspiration for your skins?
R: That needs to be stuff that i see randomly daily. Like a russian hat , or a zombie poster or even ads for downloads. The thought i get in my head is that it's never impossible as long as i try .
D: And we can see that lately with your contest badges! You seem to be attracted by Steampunk too...why?
R: Well, the steampunk was a part of my childhood. I always used to play games that were steampunky themed, then i saw alot of those at the PMC. Here is where my friend AAmdahl comes in the picture. He showed me ideas and helped me to get thoghts about new things i could make !
D: Tell me about your skinning technique: what programs do you use?
R: Oh, programs. That's alot. Well let's start of with the basic program : MC Skin Edit. I always used to use that one then shade with a program called GIMP. But these days everything is about MCSkin3D. So i had to test it, and i love it! I can shade and make it better with previews and put alot more work in there! But, i use Adobe Photoshop CS5 for shading and laying in details in the contrasts. Also if i am not satisfied with some colors, i replace them in GIMP.
D: Do you have any advice for aspirant skinners?
R: I do indeed, and that is only one line: Do not use noise. Why? Cause it ruins the skin, rather shade it. Go learn some techniques, watch proffesional skinners ( Do the same as they do! ) Just don't ruin your skins!
D: And now, just for fun, some useless questions: What country would you like to visit?
R: I would like to visit Brazil! For the women and the beaches!
D: Rock, Rap, or Classic?
R: Rap
D: A favourite color?
R: Hm. Maybe Brown?
D: And a final word?
R: Keep on skinning guys! Even though you don't get the perfect results, try again. The most important thing is to never give up!
D: Thanks Rako, it has been a pleasure to interview you :)
R: No problem Drumman, I am honored to get interviewed!
