The Italian Empire (simply known as The New Roman Empire, or Italy) is an imperial country that controls a vast empire around the Mediterranean sea. It is ruled over by Mussolini, who has more power than the monarch. He has the title of "Il Duce" (The Leader). Italy is also one of the world superpowers.

History
Interwar
The Kingdom Of Italy was not given much land after WW1, the Italians felt like they weren't getting what they deserved. Mussolini and his Blackshirts said they would make Italy strong, big, and powerful as it was in antiquity, if they made him the leader. The country became fascist in 1922 as Mussolini marched on Rome. Life changed completely as every aspect of life was now controlled by the government. Italy became the first fascist country and others would soon follow. Italy began invading parts of Africa by the 1930s. They made an alliance with Germany.

WW2
In our timeline, the Italians did no good and failed to re-create the Roman Empire miserably, so miserably that Germany had to occupy it. Here, they managed to successfully invade the countries necessary to become a powerful empire. Resistance movements were quickly put down.

Postwar
Italy got a chunk of land in Africa, Asia, and Antarctica after the partitioning. The empire also reconstructed its major cities such as Rome, Athens, Constantinople, Babylon, Baghdad, Alexandria, Cairo etc to a mix of what they looked like the ancient time and the new fascist style.

Geography, Wildlife, & Climate
In the Kingdom Of Italy and the European colonies, It is mostly temperate and mediterranean. In North Africa and Asia, it is mostly arid, while in Sub-Saharan Africa, it is filled with grassland savannahs. The temperatures are warm-hot except in Italian Antarctica. It has a mid-ranged ecology.

The Italian Empire has a total population of 120 million with 50 million in Italy proper. The average women has around 3 children.

The Official language is Italian while there are several minority languages.

Religion
The Official religion is Roman Catholicism, there has been a rise of Hellenism and other ancient religions in some locations. Each region has different rules for what religion you can practise, Islam is prevalent in places such as Bosnia, Albania, Turkey, Middle East etc.

Family structure
The family structure is similar to that of Germany's. Italy also made race laws similar to the Nuremberg race laws. This forbids Italians to have a relationship with some other races, anyone who breaks this law is servery punished.

Education
Similar to Germany's with the indoctrination, propaganda, and having to listen and watch speeches of the dictator, it is more focused on Ancient, Medieval, and Renaissance Literature and history.
